Travelling to Jodrell Bank, we decided to stop at a local cafe just before we got to our destination. We arrived at 9.30am and the cafe wasn't open. The sign on the door said 9.30am opening. No problem, sometimes people are running a few minutes late. There was a lady in the shop who noted us. About 9.35am the lady came to the door, flung it open and rudely shouted "I'm not ready, I'll be ten minutes". We stood there shocked (in the pouring rain) and then walked off. Could the lady not have said "Good Morning, I'm running a few minutes behind, come in and take a seat , I'll be ten minutes".

Stopped by on our cycle route around Goostrey. Very friendly service. I had a very tasty sausage barm, and my friend had eggs on toast that he enjoyed. Drinks with our food were coffee and tea. Both were very good. There is plenty of seating inside and a few outside, so you can keep an eye on your bike. The cakes looked really good for our next visit. Prices were very reasonable.

I visited, like so many others, on a cycle ride. Perfect location. Delightful staff, great food and reasonably priced. I had the welsh rarebit with very fresh salad. Recommended.

Service at Goostry cafe is outstanding, staff go above and beyond to cater for all. Dave the owner was very helpful when I had a mechanical with my bike. He went out of his way to drive to the local train station with bike in his trailer. Thank you so much Dave home safe and sound, good to know there is still some lovely caring people out there x

Wonderful staff who really take an interest and care for their customers. Food is wonderful especially a cheese and branston pickle sandwich They went to great lengths to make sure it was just as I liked it. Always a friendly welcome and food is really great with specials and a good mixture of scrumptious cakes.

This little cafe is a hidden gem: excellent ingredients eg good bacon, tasty cheese, proper leaf tea in china cups. Everything was delicious, including the soup and the best rarebit we'd ever tasted. There were fresh scones and cakes. A limited menu but all home-made. They were happy to alter the menu to suit us and offered very friendly service. The two ladies are obviously working hard to make it a success. The cafe attracted a range of people while we were there, from people living in the village, families and passing cyclists to workmen wanting a takeaway hot buttie. Brilliant!
