Disappointed with the lack of welcome every time we go into this shop. The old man running it is rude. My partner is a professsional gardener and DIY'er and would choose to buy tools and bits from there as a small business, but whenever we ask questions or are curious about something in this quirky little shop it's like it's a pain we're in there/ being judged so we always leave without buying. Just disappointing.

Very nice gentleman and warm atmosphere Went in to purchase a pellet gun, one of the man’s friends started to tell me all about his friends and experiences with them and they gave me good advice Would recommend

Wonderful store with knowledgeable proprietor - he could also be the town historian! The kind of store the world is running out of!

Over my long life Biggleswade has been my main town to go to from my living out in the sticks. Arround 60 years ago with my father we used to often go to two shops in Biggleswade to get our planet hoe blades, hoes, forks and knives for our market garden business. One of the shops has gone, but Goldthorpes remains. A wonderful little hardware store that amazingly always has everything you ask for. Yesterday I need two heavy duty bolts half an inch longer than the ones I had got and the he had them for me, he his so kind and obliging. Its truly a wonderful little shop.

Old traditional Ironmonger, an Alladins cave of goods, long live the small business. You will be amazed by the stock & knowledge of the guy who runs this gold mine shop.

Whatever you need, he'll have it tucked away somewhere in his Aladdin's cave! Don't see it? Just ask!

Hard to take in the variety of useful gear in tiny shop...Aladdins....? Dave is top man and knows where everything is. I don't look at prices much so not going to say, but if I get what I am looking for, it'll do. Not much fun spending half a day at Homebase.

One of those long-standing independent hardware stores that are so much better for getting advice than the megastores of Homebase, B&Q etc. Lot's of interesting bits crammed all into a tiny shop but the shopkeeper will point out where the things you need are. I went in to get a special type of washer. He had it in stock but charged me £1 which I feel is a bit overpriced for a bit of metal, still, better than having to pay £3 for a whole bag of them that I didn't need. Warning, the shop closes for lunch everyday between 1-2pm
