The place is pleasant enough, my daughter attends swimming lesson here and her coach Sogol is very sweet and cares for the kids. She is very good and makes sure every kid is being attended to. Will recommend Sogol :)

Sadly this centre has seen better days. Not enough parking for starters. A grey and dingy entrance with disinterested reception staff. Zero welcome. Corridors are fairly clean but battered and worn. Freezing in the winter but, strangely, the odd radiator running red hot all summer. Regular bookers for activities are thrown out each time there is a major event, proving that the bread and butter customers mean nothing to the management. It needs a full refurbishment which I very much doubt will happen.

Sogol is a great swimming instructor for the Stage 2-3 classes. She is passionate about swimming and deeply care about all the students having a great time, staying safe and learning solid swimming skills. She is very open with communication and consistently offer feedback and suggestions. After a few classes with Sogol my son is now significantly more comfortable in the water and is learning how to properly swim. We are greatful for having Sogol as our son’s swimming instructor!

The female changing rooms are disgusting especially around the toilet/shower area. The soft play area nothing worked in there ( snack machine/ coffee machine) Then when I was ready to leave i stood by the buggy exit for about 3 mins with my boy trying to get out, there was 2 people working at the front desk the girl looked at me a couple of times and didn't even bother letting me out. My sister also said something to her as she left to be completely blanked like she wants even there. We definitely won't be returning what a waste of £26! Baby pool is so outdated there are multiple holes in the ceiling. Just not a very good experience considering I've been coming here for the last 20 odd years!

Joined this place via the kent one you scheme to try to regain and keep my health up as I am disabled. I go swimming 3 times a week and absolutely love it. They need to fix the showers in the men's changing rooms as only 2 work. And it would be nice to have lockers that were useful having to find a padlock us irritating. But all that said this has made a difference to my life thank you.

Pool is a bit tired now, it’s not been renovated in a long long time. Centre itself all ok and staff friendly

The most frustrating customer service ever. Reception NEVER answer the phone. We only come here for my sons swimming, however I would be loathed to join purely due to the lack of reception staff actually being able to answer a phone.

I really think their “holidays opening hours” are a bit too self indulging… there is no bank holiday between 27-31/12 and still there they are closing at 18:00. So the people that are working full time I suppose they re supposed to stay at home and order some cakes instead of training. Very disappointing considering the inflated membership prices

Whilst boasting the most expensive gym membership in the area, the centre also throws in unreliable services free of charge! Whilst it’s true that the membership offers Gym, Swim and Sauna facilities - which may seem like good value at first glance - you can also guarantee at least one of these is not operational. I really do want to like this Leisure Centre. I have been a member here cumulatively for around a year and a half, but I have been disappointed too many times by unreliable facilities. If it’s not the sauna, the shower is broken. If not that, then there is maintenance on the gym. The most laughable part is that they have recently invested nearly 500k for new equipment. Meanwhile - the facilities continue to breakdown. It has gotten to the point where a membership here simply can’t be justified relative to the alternatives. If you’re intent on joining, you best set your expectations to seeing “out of order” signs most weeks. If you’re intent on leaving, guess what? It takes 1 month to cancel - so you’ll have to make another DD payment, which will keep you on for even longer. All these factors combined are a real sign to me that this leisure centre fails to act on feedback and is solely focused on attracting as many customers at the highest price point possible. A real shame - but you are much better off trying another centre nearby. The drive may be further, but at least you’ll get your money’s worth.

We swim here regularly and my daughter has gymnastics lessons too. The pools are good: (nice warm learner pool, large 25m pool, diving pit with about 6 boards) but there are no waves, slides or anything like that. We've been very happy with the gymnastics. It's a pre-school class, but the teaching is very good. It's accredited, so is much more than just a play session. After a recent refurbishment, the café has been moved from its lovely gallery situation overlooking the pool, into a dark downstairs area, which is a shame. The vacated gallery is now a small soft play area, which we've visited for a birthday party. It was too small for my 6&8 year olds, but the 3 year old enjoyed it.
