   This place has parking near by. Its really beautiful. They lost a star as the bird hide has closed down. That looks like the best spot to see out to the broads. They should remove it or build a new one. The dog had a nice walk and the scenery is lovely. I was so excited to see a water shrew I have never seen one before.

   We came here while walking around the area,there was lots of wildlife to see including a Chinese water deer and a Marsh harrier. Highland cows were grazing the reserve. Which we use for grazing meadows. Although we didn't see any bird hides we didn't cover all areas so it's worth venturing further to see whatvelsevit has to offer

   Quite hard to work out where to park but if you park in whats called the staithe its fine. A short walk along the footpath brings you out to the hide (closed due to covid) with an abundance of waterfowl to look at. The best bit however was if you walk a little further on and to the right hand side there were 2 marsh harriers flying and hunting! I wanted to see 1 but 2 was amazing to watch. With a ton of wildlife to see and watch its a lovely little hidden gem to visit.

   A beautiful, peaceful broad with car parking adjacent to the staithe. A maintained path runs between the broad and grazing marshes down to a bird hide (currently closed due to Covid 19) and continues on to a bench overlooking the broad. The path continues all the way to the river Yare and then along it to the Beauchamp Arms For those wanting a longer walk it is possible to produce an attractive circular walk back to the staithe via Clacton (about 4 miles)
