   This was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Upon being seated, the table was visibly unclean. Even after asking for it to be wiped down, it was ignored. The teacup I was given had liquid stains on it — when I pointed it out, instead of an apology, I was given an excuse that of they serve a lot of people a day. Plates sat uncleared, service was inattentive, and the entire experience lacked the professionalism and standard of hospitality I expect from service industry. If this is what the management considers acceptable, it’s genuinely concerning. Dining out should not feel like settling for negligence. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness, respect, or even the most fundamental service standards.

   I visited this cafe recently and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we asked to see the menu before deciding to stay. While the staff member gave it to us, their facial expression wasn’t very welcoming, which set a bit of a negative tone. We asked if we could sit down, and were led to a table right next to a staircase going downstairs. The spot felt awkward. What made it more confusing was that there were plenty of other, more comfortable tables available. After choosing what we wanted to order, we waited for someone to come to the table, but no one approached us. Eventually, we went up to the counter ourselves to place our order. Meanwhile, we noticed other customers who arrived after us being seated promptly and served at their tables, which was disappointing and made us feel overlooked. The food arrived fairly quickly, which was a plus. I ordered the salmon croissant, which tasted good, though the salad underneath didn’t seem particularly fresh — a few leaves had already darkened. The panini was okay, but not especially flavorful, and it arrived only warm (not hot), losing heat quickly, suggesting it might have been microwaved. The drinkware also wasn’t clean — our glasses had visible water stains, which made drinking from them quite unappetizing. One of the plates even had a small chip. Overall, while the food wasn’t terrible, the poor hygiene, lack of service, and general lack of care made this a disappointing visit. I wouldn’t choose to return, especially with so many better options nearby.

   Very nice place and the service was great. I had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup it was nice but the pancakes were a bit thick and not what I would have expected for this meal. Would recommend the place to meet up with friends and the range of sweet items is very good.

   Had a lovely afternoon tea at Corner Tree on Saturday in the wee private room. Food was delicious and BYOB is always a plus! Staff were lovely and a great atmosphere too with lots of celebrations happening at the same time. Never been let down at Corner Tree!

   Such a lovely cafe. So many gluten free options that I kept double checking with the the waiter. I had delicious fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup - they were an absolute dream. And the coffee was tasty too. I'll be coming back as often as I can!

   I have had multiple delicious breakfasts here over the years. My favourite is the salmon and scrambled eggs. I have never had a bad meal here! It has a lovely interior and the staff are great. Delicious home bakes to scoff too!!

   Amazing lunch at the corner tree cafe. I had the gluten free waffles with bacon, egg and cheese and my husband had the falafel salad. Tasted amazing and great service. Definitely be going back. They also have gluten free pancakes and a selection of cakes.

   Had a lovely afternoon tea here with great vegan options and soup. Staff were friendly and attentive and the cafe is bright and clean. There is a beautiful shop attached to the cafe which sells everything from quirky gifts, to furniture paint. Be warned that it might cost you more than you thought as the shop items are hard to resist!
