Once upon a time I lived and worked in Italy, making pizza's.... These are well and truly some of the most authentic and best tasting pizzas I have had and I have to admit, better than mine. Will definitely be coming back for more!
Edit: Oof! What went wrong? Considering they're exclusively delivery, why did our pizza arrive twice in a row packed vertically looking like the attached photo? After the second time we had a phone call from a non deliveroo number to say they'd personally deliver it. They're about 200m from us but a deliveroo editions hub so you can't pickup. Cue an hour and a half later and, nothing, nada, zilch. Which meant we had to 1.have a lengthy discussion with Deliveroo and 2. Have a can of beans or whatever is in the cupboard. We tried to call the number back and honestly was surprised as the answerphone said it was Orange and I thought they had died out years ago. Old review: Best pizza in Reading. Some really good alternatives to the usual magerita, pepperoni standards. Be aware it's proper thin base napoli with a glorious sloppy center which is not to everyone's taste. I'm hopeful they'll outgrow their 'editions' kitchen and open a proper restaurant in town one day.
I wish I took note of the reviews... Literally exactly the same as a perilous review. Chose build my own..basically capricciosa minus the anchovies. It included the extra 3.95 for buffalo mozzarella. The mozzarella was barely cooked and just a huge lump in the middle. Not how you would expect evenly spread around the pizza for even cooking and portioning. For over 30 quid for 2 pizzas I would expect more here.. Also tried to call but it was to no avail.
We had two pizzas delivered by deliveroo. Both inedible and straight into the food bin. They were so greasy that the pizza boxes couldn't be recycled. Pizza toppings were piled up at one end of the pizzas and so greasy
The pizzas are big and oval shaped.17X8 inch (ish) and perfect for one hungry person, so good value as size is unadvertised.. Had a hawaiin. Great+++ dough and oven and choice of fior de latte as cheese. Cooked well, done right, leopard bread and browned cheese on top which can be tricky in many woof fired ovens. Top 10% of pizzas ive had. So a no brainer. Reminds me of chapter in canterbury. But the real praise is to my surprise is the garlic bread for £3.75 and completely stole the show vs the already brilliant pizza.
I have ordered a pizza (I chose the option of me choosing all ingredients), among other things I chose mozzarella. The pizza came cold and there was the whole block of cold mozzarella on the right side of the pizza, not spread evenly. Overall very disappointing, especially when this was my first order. I'll stay with domino's or pizza hut next time.
