We havelllƙn't been to The Cricketers Inn before, had no views from friends or family and briefly looked at a couple of reviews before booking three adults and two small dogs in for Sunday Lunch. When we got to the pub, we were faced with our first challenge - the car park was packed. Lucky for us, we found the last available slot. We'd been told that our table was in the bar area because of the dogs and, as so often happens. expected to be sat in a 'rougher' part of the pub. Not so here. The location was quiet, spotless, roomy and rather pleasant - as was all areas of the Pub. The service was excellent throughout with friendly, courteous and efficient staff. All that's left is to review the food. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork, which I selected, was loin and not belly as many pubs now serve and the vegetables are served separately. My two fellow diners chose lamb which many pubs have dropped from the menu on cost grounds. All three meals were well presented with generous portions and extremely flavoursome. All three of us (and the dogs) ⁷ùjǰhighly recommend you book your Sunday Lunch at The Cricketers Inn in the near future.

Found this place on off chance after looking for country pubs in the area & very glad we did. Lovely food - let us order a pizza even tho it was 15 mins after it usually ended - was able to sit outside & enjoy the weather. Food was amazing - pizza was one of the best I’ve had in forever & my other half enjoyed his burger very much. Nice atmosphere, nice food, nice staff, very pretty setting & area… will happily go back when in the area!

Really lovely roast to end a lovely Sunday hike. Such a nice atmosphere and the service was great. We sat in the dog friendly area and really enjoyed our visit. The beef roast was delicious. My one disappointment was the amount of meat, there definitely could’ve been more!

It was a recommendation from our hosts. And we were really not disappointed. We were 2 adults and an 8 year old child. Absolutely family-friendly, really great. Great service, which started with the reservation. Top food and a cosy ambience. If we lived here, we would come more often. A little tip: it makes sense to reserve a table in advance.

Great food, staff, decor, space, service. Just a fantastic place. My husband is a fussy eater but he could not stop raving about the food. There is a play area for children, an outside pizza kitchen, dog friendly, the place is just perfect. If we lived locally we would be regulars. Well done to all staff. Chef deserves recognition.

Had an Excellent evening with colleagues. We were looked after by Mark and his team who ensured that we had constant flow of drinks and food come in at the right pace. As you can see food looked and tasted good.

Good service and the drinks were nice, but should be at £5.30 a pint Was told only side orders if we hadn't booked a table even though it was nowhere near full and only 3 on a Sunday, maybe they don't like bikers The menu seemed a bit steep, I mean £7 for vanilla ice cream Update Weirdest thing I've ever seen in a gents toilet Full baby changing changing station in the gents Not a separate room, right by the urinals
