I have known of this restaurant for a while, but do not live near by. Finally I decided to pay a visit. I loved their food and service. The front desk lady is super efficient. The menu is delectable and have many of my favorites. I loved the Thali concept as it provided many of my favorites in small portions, more than enough in quantity for a person's meal. All the dishes tasted great and I ended up having takeaways as well. One of the owners was there and came to greet which is a wonderful gesture. I hope this restaurant flourishes as there are not many authentic Bengali restaurants around. Looking forward to my next visit.

A good authentic Bengali restaurant located 3 to 4 km is away from Reading Station. The restaurant space is quite good. It can accommodate 20 to 25 people. The quality years of the food is very good. We tried chicken Thali and fish Thali and both was up to the mark. It’s quite authentic- vegetarian Dal is a must try.

Only dish that I liked was Topse fry. Luchis were a bit too hard for my liking and they don’t know how to cook Kosha mangsho or tawa. They served horrible box standard Bangladeshi curry instead! Prices were cheap

Amazingly authentic Bengali food- highly recommend the Mutton Biryani and the Mutton Kosha with Luchi. Just need a comfortable room nearby for a much needed post-lunch nap!

not a great experience with the food though the host is friendly. Good: Ordered Paneer and Baigan Sabzi very tasty. Host is good too. Bad: Mango lassi, it was a blend of a Mango Juice and Yogurt we did not like it (owner didn’t charges us for that, which was a good gesture) disappointed with breads, as nans were brought from the local shop (heat and severed) and even the Paranthas were Haldiram’s frozen. Owner excepted after little confrontation.

Food tastes just like it’s in Kolkata, we tried many items right from biriyani, radhaballavi, dhokar dalna, mutton rezala, misti doi, Bhetki paturi etc. All the items were lip smacking and cooked to perfection. It’s so nice to have authentic Bengali / Kolkata food in the UK, we shall return again.

It's difficult to find authentic Bengali restaurant in UK, finally found one. The food was delicious, specially the Calcutta style biriyani and fish fry and Bengali pulao are highly recommended. Although I haven't visited the restaurant, but have ordered food from here more than once. Looking forward to visiting the place personally. Great food,, thank you !!!
