Waited a long time for it. Wish I had gone elseware. Chinese had no flavour and was water no sauce and tasteless. Also had two savaloyes and these were old and full of water I would say they were over 24hrs old and just left soaking in Luke warm water may be yesterday's stock. Will not visited them again.
Never had a blander Chinese in my life. Imagine a Chinese with no flavour or sauce and this is what you get, absolutely foul. Was £40 and I wish I had beans on toast.
Sorry to say but the high standards set here are no more. Unfortunately I think this shop has new management so best to look elsewhere if you want the best cod and chips. I've been making this journey here for years but after the so called freshly made fish and chips we received today, I will not be coming back. Terrible.
I went there Friday lunch time with my elderly mother. I treated her to cod & chips we decided to eat in (I was just going to have some of hers) The Chinese lady called 'Pin' was serving ,she is such a lovely warm lady and give us an extra small piece of cod. Me and my mum were very happy in the time we were there, the serving of cod were the best I had there before so tasty, so fresh and cooked perfectly.
What a total rip off. £3.40 for a small and I mean SMALL portion of chips, not even fresh as she scraped the bottom of the tray to get the crumbs out. Then wrapped it in so many sheets of paper to make it look bulky Ketchup sachet for size. I don't like being ripped off, so they've lost our Chinese business too.
Local chippie, been before and food was a bit better at that point..this time unfortunately chips were undercooked people in there seemed nice enough, place could do with a decent uplift in decor to make it a bit more welcoming
Right. I don't know what oil these use but it is not a good one. After one small chips I feel like I've eaten 10 donner kebabs. Absolutely disgusting. My chips were also pale and slightly under cooked. Most chip shops I would eat at the most once a week but I give these lot once a year...
First time ever I have ordered a takeaway and not eaten it, it was so incredibly bland. I had the chicken chow mein and kung po chicken, they were both so lacking in flavour they could have been the same dish. Really disappointed, ended up ordering food from a different takeaway
Great chippy and Chinese, only thing is you can't always pay card on smaller orders!
