Been here twice for a works lunch and dinner. Being a siren pub you get some interesting and trendy beers. Food is good - both times i ordered food for the fish and chips. The pub during winter is a little draughty for me - unusually both fireplaces at either end of the pub dont seem to cut it for me. Parking is ample enough which help - getting a 4g signal for maps is horrible better to go in and get that sorted from the free wifi.

The George & Dragon Pub is a really delightful place. Warmth of the waitress and waitroses is touching. The cosy interior invites to stay for hours again and again. What I love the most? Everything is cooked in place, nicely served, with taste and aesthetic finishing. The Pub organises different events which are always very organised and friendly. You feel there like oin the family home. Let's try, while you are around. You won't regret. You won't forget.

This pub is now owned by Siren Craft Brewery in Wokingham. Again dog friendly. A warm welcome by the staff and customers alike. Enjoyed my visit, first time I have been here since it had been taken over.

Had a lovely experience in the newly renovated garden space - food and drink was delicious and very fairly priced! Would recommend a visit to this underrated country pub!

Always wanted to go here. My son has been on numerous occasions and is very impressed. Car parking is limited when busy. The pub is old fashioned with low ceilings and in the winter a real fire. We had a host who answered our questions, took our orders and who was very helpful. We were there on a Friday night and it was busy so best to reserve a table. The menu is not huge and the prices are reasonable for an upmarket eating place. They serve Siren beer on cask/keg plus there is a beer fridge too. The food was very good but I felt the portions were a bit on the small side. It's easy to rack up a large bill with extra drinks. The men's toilets were OK but need to be refurbished. Great place to visit for a special event!

Down from Scotland to visit my friend who was also having a Christmas dinner with her Horse yard friends . What a lovely place the George and Dragon is from arriving got a lovely table in a corner eating alone as my friend was in a large Xmas group fabulous staff all three that served me deserve Gold stars served me with relaxed confidence which allowed some banter and fun between myself and the two lads and lovely lass who I asked to recomend a beer I had Siren momento. Delicious smooth and worked well with my food. Harrissa paste / pesto Aubergines and Pilsner battered fish and chips and just to have me rolling out a delicious Apple and blackberry’ crumble. And custard all this topped off with a great coffee . Don’t hesitate drive out relax enjoy. Thanks guys.

I enjoyed a beer in here on several occasions. But today was Sunday lunch. Busy rural pub 15 mins south of Reading. Car park packed and only able to park on the road. Absolutely superb. Friendly staff, swift service - despite the crowd. And very high quality food. I enjoyed the G&D burger - absolutely fabulous and Mrs B had the roast beef (Medium Rare) - described as “the best roast beef I have ever had……that I haven’t cooked”. And she knows a good roast beef. High praise indeed. All washed down with some decent Merlot. All in all very very good for about £60. Highly recommended.
