The quantity of food was impressive. None of our party finished. Quality was good as well. Service friendly and efficient. Parking outside the pub was ok on the road. The pub parking was tight.
Super friendly pub where the owner takes personal interest in how guests are being served, how they feel and how satisfied they are with the food. On food, the menu is sized to deliver quality. An excellent choice of meat and fish dishes with options for vegetarians. Another sign of confidence in the quality of the food is seeing the chef out of the kitchen and asking for feedback on his work. This is a well run, attention to detail pub, located on a little hill, offering stunning views of the English countryside.

The food was fresh and delicious, the service professional and friendly, and the whole place spotless and full of charm. Even on a dark autumn evening, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Truly deserves more than five stars — highly recommended!.
Stumbled across this absolute gem of a pub after viewing some wedding venues close by. Best find ever! Staff were so lovely and accommodating. Despite it being a Sunday, not having booked and them having no running water, they were friendly and look tome to chat to us which was so welcoming and lovely. We were also given such a cosy little corner to enjoy! The food was 10/10. Can’t recommend the roast more. Lovely wine list too. Can’t wait to return. Thanks so much!
I was lucky to celebrate my birthday in this lovely country pub. The chef is amazing and very creative, the staff are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The view from the terrace is so nice and it has a lovely atmosphere with nice music and lights. All staff came and sang happy birthday to me by surprise. It was so lovely. It felt like home. Thank you so much. We will return again. We also had three courses each so we thought the price was pretty reasonable.
Good service I couldn't fault it. A good ballance of timing and attentiveness. Food was great. All standard fare but done really well. My pork belly was nicely presented and really tasty. Decor was proper country pub, reassuringly slightly dated, not too 'try hard'. The real delivery was in the food and service. Looking forward to returning.
Hands down the best vegetarian roasts I’ve ever had. The nut roast was super moist and perfectly balanced, all the trimmings were fresh, flavourful and perfectly cooked. Love how it was served on the side. Service top notch too! And so many options for dietary requirements (vegan/gluten free) 10/10 smashed it!
What an amazing pub, we went in last minute and the staff were so accommodating despite being busy - a sign of a great pub, it being so busy! They had a table setup in the matter of seconds and we had an excellent meal, at a great affordable price too. A lovely atmosphere and such a friendly pub well worth a visit.
Great service from the staff. Plenty of seating, both inside and out. Food was nice and delivered without delay, despite there being a number of people eating. Nice views across the fields.
Can not recommend this pub enough. Has a great atmosphere with lovely scenery when sat outside. Excellent service, beer was delicious and the food was one of the best i have ever had. The price was a little high but well worth it.
