The owner or the staff am not sure who I spoke to but it was such a very nice guy the service was amazing and they went out and beyond to deliver my food which I was grateful because I was very much in need but Yh thankyou
AVOID! NEVER ORDER FROM HERE! AVOIDIs it possible to leave o stars , we ordered at 7pm at 9pm it still hadn’t arrived we were then called by someone who didn’t speak any English didn’t understand a postcode and couldn’t repeat it, the takeaway didn’t answer the phone we live in Allestree he was in Alvaston, he kept repeating the postcode incorrectly and then turned up 2and a half hours later with cold food in a container that was open and wanted us to pay full price.
Stale food was given and chicken skewers in satay sauce was like a sponge texture and Singapore noodles all clumped together and so dry it almost made me choke. NEVER buying again. I will say that blossom gardens in sunnyhill are the best Chinese if your looking for delicious Chinese food.
Have ordered so many times from lucky house duffield road derby. Had a few times not perfect, but last night really was atrocious. First of all know its a Chinese takeaway, but surely person taking phone takeaway orders, must be able to speak proper English. It was a nightmare ordering plus person was not the most pleasant. Had to keep repeating order to check ok. Both orders were with black pepper sauce. I think chef must of chucked the whole pot of black pepper in. Me and my husband were chocking and couldn't get our breath, especially me who have asthma. I also had a side order of egg fried rice. Never found one bit of egg in rice. Very disappointing experience and meal. Wendy hall
I will NEVER buy from these again, I placed my order and added a tip of over £2 for the driver, it clearly states the tip is for the driver, when my food arrived I told the driver about the tip and he was upset because when we tip whilst placing the order, the divers do not get a penny. Absolutely terrible, I feel as if the takeaway has stolen my money, how can they keep the tips when it is clearly for the driver. I will eat elsewhere in future. I will look into reporting them for this, when I tip a driver, I do not expect it to be stolen by the management.
Well what can I say me and the mrs had a long couple of nights having our baby boy at the hospital, got home and ordered our usual meal and the lady on the phone said the usual 45 min wait which was fine, we was very tired , 90 mins later still no food so we decided to call it a night and go to bed so we called and said don’t worry about our order it’s been too long , I didn’t think they would mind as we’ve been loyal customers for over 7 years ordering at least once a week and she said if you do not accept this order then we will never deal with you again! We said that’s fine then! I’ve never been barred from a Chinese take away before lol , there was another occasion when they forgot a can of drink but we thought it doesn’t matter next time we order we wil tell them about the drink which we did and the owner said Because you didn’t tell Us on the day (we didn’t want to bother them) you’ll not be getting your can of drink which I thought was not very good at all,.. anyway we found another Chinese and the quality is a lot better and £2 cheaper for our usual order so we wil never be going back obviously because we are on a lifetime ban
Ordered for a birthday gathering of 6, said 45 minute wait but Waited 1.5 hours for food to be delivered, items missing was told the driver had them, waited a further 30 minutes to ring again and be told “it’s been delivered, are you sure it’s not there, why don’t you look again” left us feeling insulted and frustrated to say the least… waited a further 20 minutes to have the missing food delivered. Shame as when we eventually got the food it was and has always been nice but customer service and waiting times ruined it for us, won’t be coming back again…
Best Chinese takeaway in Derby. Food is always amazing and fresh. I highly recommend it.
I went on a friends recommendation as I ordered from these years ago and wasn't impressed one bit. The food was ok this time but it wasn't the food that I ordered. I ordered for delivery, Chips, prawn crackers, salt and pepper chicken, young chow fried rice, curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce. What I was given.. Chips, curry sauce, egg fried rice with prawns, prawn crackers and some chewy beef dish with heaps of nasty green peppers. I ordered by phone, I accepted the delivery and my partner dished the food out, she had no idea what I had pre-ordered so the mistake didn't become evident until it was plated up and presented. I'm beginning to lose hope with all of the take aways in Derby now, they're all as bad as each other. No consistency and no pride taken in the tasks they're given.
