Great night at The Lodge. Tasty burgers, great value. Did the quiz using smartphone, much better than pen and paper. Really good atmosphere.

I have been coming to the lodge since 1986. My half brother Rick Sheehan used to provide the entertainment when the site was called the Stanhope Lodge. I myself have DJ'd and played drums here many many moons ago. I have seen the many changes to the site over the last 3 decades. Currently, The Lodge has all the best of everything. Food, beers, quiz, darts, pool and most of all brilliant, lovely staff, who have a very human nature to them and seem to all work as a team together. This brings out a great product - a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and all of the staff are committed doing a great job. And it shows. Consistency is the key - and The Lodge has it. I like it. I like the staff who are always nice to me, and kind. I also like winning score match most weeks ha ha. It's refreshing to see a young group of people taking the place to task and delivering the goods. I've done this for 30 years in pubs, and if i ever ran one again I'd employ staff of this quality all day long. Keep up the great work. Micky

Been coming to the Lodge now for the past year for food and meet sups with mates and couldn’t honestly say I’ve found a better local than here. Staff are extremely friendly and the food is gorgeous and most importantly the quiz nights!! About brilliant and not to mention the legend who is the quiz master if only I knew his name I would credit him what a guy!

Great place for a laugh, game of darts, pool and the quiz night on a Tuesday is a good time. Also great to go back the next day when you need to be fed and they will look after you and your sore head. Kids are welcome and the atmosphere is child friendly and the outside seating is denominator on a hot day it’s great vibes.

Regular attendance from my family and I to this establishment. Can always count on affordable food and drink with a quick order to service time. Ordering via the app makes things easier when it's busy but it's always just as easy to go to the bar when it's not. Menu changes regularly with new items and the large sharing meals are great value for money.

Had a great meal for my dads birthday today. Food came out piping hot, and was lovely. There was a little wait for the food, but not an issue when comes out like it did. The gent behind the bar (tall, black shirt) was lovely, polite and very accommodating. Also seemed to be on his own behind there for the majority of the time we were there, and managed very well while it was quite busy.

Only went for a few pints for the first time, really busy, big pub and bar. Great and friendly service. Will definitely go again. Family friendly.

Nice place and staff bit went for Xmas Dinner and after waiting an hour between starter and main the main was not great. Veggies were rock hard, the stuffing was burnt and looked like a lump of coal
