   I had issues with my wall bifold cabinets from Magnet. When the cabinets open, even though they were adjusted smoothly, the design causes the doors to put pressure on the hinges as they fold. This appears to be a design fault, as the hinges clearly need more stability — ideally a metal reinforcement plate rather than weak carcass wood. I contacted Magnet Kitchens in Reading and spoke to the store manager, Lucian Parau. Before I could fully explain the issue, he immediately claimed there was “moisture” in the kitchen. After I sent the first set of photos, he then said we must have pulled the doors off the hinges. When I sent a second set of photos, the explanation suddenly changed again to “adjustment issues” with the Blum mechanisms. The responses were inconsistent and unhelpful, and it was clear that the manager had little understanding of the problem. My experience dealing with him was very disappointing, especially compared to the previous manager, Gabby, who was always knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, the product quality has been poor, and the customer service even worse. I would advise anyone considering shopping here to be cautious, as you may end up wasting both time and money as the manager will not support.

   Don’t bother - they aren’t interested in giving you anything but a single option, and then they ghost you and don’t even send you the quote. I’ve been chasing the quote for weeks. Have given up and will go elsewhere. Disappointed, utterly unprofessional in every way.

   Not good at all. Won't travel 20 miles. Miss even virtual appointments or leave a voicemail you can't hear. Communication is very poor. No Magnet kitchen thanks

   It was a nightmare experience post sales. I placed kitchen order in summer 2021 to be delievered in Dec 2021 (loads of lead time!!). I started getting "kitchen ready" emails from Magnet in October to clear the payment which I did. And after that the nightmare started!!. Magnet delivered part of the kitchen on the committed date and just left a note that some units/items were missing. I contacted the Reading store and they were also shocked as they were not informed about this part delivery and kept on wondering what to do next. Apparently, their delivery team doesn't tell anyone if they aren't able to complete the order and store team (which was short-staffed) is left hanging. After a number of chasers to store, 2nd part arrived after a month and parts continue to arrive after 2-3 months leading me to re-plan, re-schedule and re-pay the fitter. This delayed my home project by months. Worst part was lack of ownership by anyone to resolve the issue and keep the customer informed. New store manager (Dipika) explained about shortage of staff and why no one was able to call me on what was happening with the delayed/missing order. unacceptable!! Also, any missing part even though as small as handles comes to their store which could easily be posted to your home. So you have to go to their store to pick it every time. They know how to make customer's life difficult!! Giving 2 stars for new manager who tried to explain the situation. Earlier guy Dan was just elusive.

   Clean and tidy showroom. Friendly and helpful staff - not too pushy. Have only given 4 out of 5 as I do not know how their prices compare as yet. Will revisit and update to 5 if we go ahead with their quote.

   Very friendly and helpful manager. What was once a low-end range of poorly made kitchen furniture is now a top quality selection of well-made cabinets and extras. Very pleasantly surprised. And the prices are pretty good too.
