Went in to have a look around and the two older men standing around made us very uncomfortable. They went silent when we walked in. My child felt "creeped out" by how they in particular were being stared at by one of the men (and that they kept looking away when they returned their gaze) and told me so once we got out. Upsetting to see them so weirded out. Thanks for being that first childhood experience of inappropriate adult staring! Very overpriced sofas that have collectively come out of everyone's nans conservatories. A nice oak wardrobe but everything else was pretty poor quality. It doesn't matter though as it just didn't feel like you could browse without four pairs of eyes eating you up. Even moved closer as we were looking. I won't bother coming in again as I've felt stared at just walking past this store! Not comfortable for women or children.

I was excited to visit this shop, having heard so many rave reviews of Emmaus charity shops nationwide but I was disappointed. The shop was very sparse, clearly they are very good at moving stock on or they just don't get donations anymore / it's all off the shop floor. The prices seemed good but I wasn't tempted by anything on this occasion. I did however feel like I was being followed by a member of staff, Which made me feel very uncomfortable! I know the go to line in retail is "are you looking for anything in particular" but does that really work in a charity shop? I like the idea of walking in and not knowing what I could potentially buy. Although, today I felt a little like suspect number one and left quite quickly.

Took a mini hi-fiinto your shop was told it wasn’t ina good enough condition not interested so took it into another shop and sold it for £15 sorry that it was not able to be used to make money for your charity. Also had other items but was told sorry not interested in them very disappointed in your person in shop you aren’t going to make money if you turn away stock to make money for charity.

The 1 star is for the store team who couldn't be more helpful..... 0 stars for the poor customer service of the furniture collection guys. 2 gentlemen came round to collect my sofa, only to be told that it wasn't in good enough condition. After stating that the sofa was previously bought from the Shirley, Southampton branch, I was told that it wouldn't have been sold to me in that condition. I can assure you it was and I am more than happy to provide receipts dates and times of purchase. Along with pictures of the sofa upon purchase and the condition now. If someone is able to reply to me, that would be great. As I don't really like implications of being called a 'liar'.

Got the table and chairs I wanted. Even delivered it up three flights of stairs. Shop staff were great and the guys who delivered were brilliant. Thanks
