Food was dry and/or cold. Took over an hour for dessert. Men’s bathrooms have never been mopped. My shoes were sticking to the floor every time I walked in there. Lights were falling down. Staff were rude when responding to our issues. If you’re after some food, go anywhere but here. Worse pub I’ve been in
There isn’t steak when I go there. Takes so long for my dessert to come. The sweet potato frise is not recommended, but chips are good. The food are ok, but other place would be better than here. I will not come again!
Drinks are ok but the food is worth a skip. Salmon is overcooked and fries are oily. Overall I would say the upside down (nearby pub) is a much better place for food and drinks
Worst food I’ve had on my UK trip, bone dry reheated food with no flavor. I asked for some olive oil and the lady said we don’t have any!! Go eat at Aldi across the road and the food will be 5 times better. What a shame
Absolutely amazing service as always when we come here for lunch. The staff are always very helpful, friendly, very easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble. The prices are very reasonable, you get your moneys worth. I have a food allergy, which is not a common one. The General Manager went above and beyond to check the ingredients for the food I had picked to have. Amazing fast service, food was lovely and hot, as always and well presented on the plate. This is definitely our favourite place to come and eat.
Very Clean, food great for the money, atmosphere really good nice music in the back ground, staff very friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend and visit again.

We visited The Victoria Cross for lunch, Kerry our waitress explained that we found a table and ordered at the bar. It was an extensive menu of fun food, all the calories were calculated on the menu. My son ordered the chicken burger which was huge, and almost beat him. Kerry checked on us and made us feel welcome, the food arrived very quickly and was delicious. The hot chocolate was amazing with maltesers. We are going back soon. The food is very reasonably priced, made even better by my Tesco vouchers.
