   Don’t waste your time coming here if you’re planning to watch live sport. They are completely inconsistent. I booked a table in advance specifically for a rugby game because the week before we were able to watch it there with no issues. When I arrived, all the screens were off and I was told they wouldn’t be showing anything—and that they had tried calling me to let me know. They advertise online and even outside the pub that they show live sport, but that clearly isn’t true. Such a disappointing experience and a complete waste of my Saturday.

   Came to a fullers pub expecting a decent meal. Sadly the portion sizes were incredibly stingy. The schnitzel was tasty but incredibly small and came with a few greens on the side. Didn't even come with chips or anything else. Bit sad, given we're all going home hungry. Hardly good value for £50 spent for dinner and a couple of drinks.

   Hired for a party of 25. Pre-ordered food. Only issue was one meal didn't come out and I had to chase up, Hannah sorted this as quickly as possible and took the cost of the meal off of my meal. Would highly recommend.

   This pub has been my local for years, and I’ve seen it change hands several times. Each new owner brings their own unique touch, which has kept things interesting. It’s the only proper pub in Chineham and serves as a reliable local, especially for those working at Chineham Business Park. It sees plenty of foot traffic during weekday lunchtimes and really picks up on Fridays. The beer here has always been reliably good—especially if you’re a fan of Fuller’s and the usual lineup of standard pub beers. I’ve never had a bad pint. The food is consistently decent; it’s classic pub grub, nothing extraordinary, but you always get what you pay for. The staff are friendly and approachable, and they’re always happy to have a quick chat if you strike up a conversation or have a question—gives the place a welcoming vibe. They also run curry nights on Thursdays. I haven’t tried it yet, but the turnout always looks strong, which suggests they’re doing something right. One thing to be aware of is that the atmosphere can shift a bit when sports are on. Being the only proper pub in the area, it sometimes attracts a rowdier crowd depending on who’s playing. It’s not always the case, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re after a quieter visit.

   As a family, we use this pub to meet up. This was our first gathering since lockdowns etc. Service was patchy but there were alot of younger staff, learning the ropes. Food was OK but in general, in my opinion since covid most hospitality based venues have lost that edge of quality service. Pack them in get them out, just make the money.

   Lovely little local pub, couldn’t ask for better as a resident, particularly happy that they serve HSB as this was from my hometown and is a little difficult to find. Beer selection is decent, liquor selection is pretty good and the food is reliable and delicious. Happy to spend the evening here anytime. You can also take your dog and they have treats/water available.

   Dog friendly and plenty of covered seating outdoors too. The beer selection isn't extensive but it seems to be kept fairly well (the London Pride is fairly reliable) Can be busy and loud when there's a football match on, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but not for everyone.

   Best fish and chips ever!! My burger was delicious as well. Yorkshire puddings were great too. Lovely staff.
