Service is as friendly and efficient. Our waiter, Alec was great and explained what was available without pressure. The mill is such a nice place to eat and a lot fire added to the atmosphere. The roast lamb was cooked perfectly and a generous helping of vegetables was spot on.
Fantastic pub, a family favourite with lots of character. The food was excellent with a great range on the menu. Unfortunately, on our last visit we were left a disappointed with the service. Our waitress was Amy K, who was friendly, but a little unprofessional. I had to ask were our drinks were after waiting 15 minutes, and when they arrived the ice was almost melted, meaning they had likely been sat on the side. She did not come to check on us during our meal, offer more drinks or clear away our starter plates. After our meal was finished we were not offered the desert menu, so decided to get the bill. After half an hour of failed attempts to catch her attention, we finally requested the bill and were asked to "wait a moment". I completely understand if the restaurant was busy, but we visited between 7-9 (ended up being 2 hours due to the waiting), and our section had only one other table of diners. Ultimately, we still loved the food, and have recieved great service in the past, so I do not want to rate too harshly. However, Amy's apparent lack of care soured what was otherwise a lovely evening.
Beautiful old pub. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere inside, staff are lovely and really helpful. They have a GF menu and were good with allergies, checking what was in some dishes. The online GF filter gave a couple of different options to what dishes were possible when we arrived due to fryer use but still great options. Well-stocked bar with a few more taps to be set up soon.
Been coming here on and off for years and it's always been solid for good food and value. Came for Sunday Roast. Menu is great with the Trio of Roasts a highlight and Lamb on the menu which you don't always see. All three meats were delicious, presented nicely and great portion sizes. The 3 for £10 sides is worth it and a clever option to have. Staff attentive but not pushy, nice atmosphere and everyone very friendly. The food came out in what felt like only 5 minutes. Honestly can't knock it. Had a couple of servers but Oli who dealt with the bill etc was very polite and professional and keen to help.
What an absolute gem! This historic restaurant in England is full of charm, with outdoor seating that offers a perfect view of the sunset — truly magical. The food was incredible from start to finish, but the highlight was the sticky toffee pudding, which was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Our server, Sheryl, made the experience even more special with her warm personality and attentive service. A must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates great food, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional hospitality.
This pub has to be my favourite pub I go to, lovely cozy atmosphere and decor. Lovely big car park and the staff are phenomenal. So welcoming and friendly, Charley especially was an absolute delight! Definitely coming back again with my best friend! ☺️
We've been to The Longbridge Mill three times in the past decade and each time we came away not really satisfied with the meals. They look lovely in the pictures taken by the Mill, for the Mill, but none of the meals we've had there come near to matching them visually. And we found the quality to be below par really for the price. On this visit we had to complain about one meal that was so salty, it was nearly impossible to eat. The menu itself is very unappealing, being a simple, closely-typed sheet. Service was average, and the whole place had a 'dead' feel to it. As we were leaving I just started talking with a member of staff who appeared, but hadn't served us, and she put it upon herself to show us around the The Longbridge Mill museum area, which was in fact closed at the time. This was very interesting and prevented this visit from being a near disaster. 'Thank you' to that person. I cannot recommend the meals here, but if you're in the area, the museum is interesting, if open, and a drink would suffice.
An 80th birthday lunch for 14. A huge property where the buildings are old and lovely. We were on a long table by the old Mill which we could see through a glass window. Our area was quiet so we weren't disturbing others. Food was delicious although service could have been faster - 2 servers might have helped speed things up. The Mill were accommodating to us bringing in a birthday cake and bought it to the table after the main was cleared, to sing and blow out candles. They then took it back to the kitchen and sliced it and served on platters for us to help ourself. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the guest of honour was delighted with it all.
Totally shocked with service. waited an hour and a half for food, spoke to a barmaid and asked to speak to ~Fiona (the assistant manager) was told thats not possible, food was burnt to a crisp by that I mean inedible, £33 but was refunded but at has gone way down hill since last time I visited. Will not be going back, by this time it is too late to go anywhere else for a proper meal, so we both end up hungry
Lovely ambience and great location. The building itself is warm and welcoming, with exceptional staff. Me, my husband, and our daughter were served by the lovely and bubbly Charlotte. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was on point. Hope to see you again soon.
