Chilled coffee shop with great breakfast options and friendly quick service. Update: Had coffee and lunch here today. Still impressed by the food and service. Tasty sandwiches and great coffe coupled with efficient friendly service. Top notch!!
There are menus behind the counter and on the tables. Drinks were brought to the table for us and they were in quite large mugs, compared to other coffee shops. Fair amount of seating and some quirky decor. The doors to the outside seating area were open. Toilets are situated when you go out of the shop but before you exit via the front doors (in the lobby area). When I went they were very clean.
We used Bean for a work Buffet on 3 days this week, nothing was too much trouble, the food was fantastic and the service brilliant.Swain dropped of the food every day with a smile.Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a buffet.
I liked the decor. I had a Big Breakfast. I disliked the portion size for the price, it was too small. The sausages were very cheap and tasted more of rusk than meat. The bacon was well cooked but cheap and covered in the white c**p that comes with cheap bacon. The tea was a decent size, but again somewhat pricey for a tea bag in a mug.

Coffee good, buddha bowl efficient more than delicious, though the pastrami was a highlight. Bacon and brie panini very chewy. Parking not free which adds to the cost if you drive there, and it was pretty short of spaces.
Had our work christmas do here this weekend and it was 10/10. The service, the food, the venue...... nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the grazing table - delicious and stunning. The process from start to finish, organising and arriving on the day was smooth. Thank you for making it so easy.
Treated myself to a coffee in this beautifully-laid out and welcoming café. With chunky, wooden tables, high ceilings and loads of space, it is a comfortable space perfect for chilling with friends, entertaining work colleagues, or creating something wonderful on paper or laptop.
My second visit and it was great. Quality food in a relaxed and COVID safe setting. I sat outside in the courtyard which I didn't know they had. Highly recommended for coffee, cake or food when in Derby. I'll be back.
