   A pub located on the old Fair Oak road, mostly used by locals. There is a small car park. It’s quite an imposing old building from the outside & the layout & decor inside has a dated look, though don’t be put off, it’s a traditional pub with a traditional feel. There was outside seating but it’s all at the top of the car park.

   Went to Kutis then thought we'd try the cricketers, bought 2 pints of ale , a pint of Guinness a kronnenburg and vodka and coke , both ales and Guinness were off , returned Guinness and got a doombar which turned out to be rank.

   Good local pub with friendly staff. OK for a quick beer while waiting for your bus. Not exactly the place to take that special first date. UPDATE: Again I dropped in here because of a missed bus. Unfortunately on this visit I was told that they do not accept cards? I was told that there was an ATM, but as a disabled pensioner...that meant a walk of some 12-15 minutes...although the distance was under 150m. But what was really amazing and is the reason for this update, is that one of the locals offered to buy me a pint...without ever having met me. Points off for poor customer service...gold star for the big hearted local. Thank you for the offer...which I didn't take up. UPDATE II. I returned here for another visit, but this time with cash!!! I enquired of the barmaid about the no card rule? She explained that they are charged 10p every transaction? Now, surely they could simply add the 10p to every single, card transaction and everything would be perfect? Or is that too obvious?
