    Thought we'd stop for a quick pint and ended up having 4 and lunch! Certainly not complaining the bar staff were friendly even tho they were busy with a 90th birthday. Food was good, great selection of real Ales and beers. Will be returning soon

    We had a voucher given to us at Christmas and decided on The Rising Sun! Decided on midday meal. Only one member of staff on duty!! Service, was slow and abismal. Food wasn't much better..4 star rating?? Would never reccomend or be going back!

    Stumbled in here caked in mud on a freezing cold day from the South Downs path. We were made to feel so welcome. We had a lovely coffee and tea perched by the fire. We were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave! Definitely the highlight of the South Downs path so far!

    Having heard the pub had changed hands we have now visited twice for lunch. Both times the food and service has been excellent. First visit we had hoagies, and second time around a burger and loaded nachos. I couldn't fault any of it, pub food very well done. A lovely, tidy pub with friendly staff, great beer and good food. Would have expected it to be busier at a Saturday lunchtime, so wanted to pop a review on as this pub deserves to be busier! Thanks, will be back ☺️

    Lovely starter and main. Plentiful portions at a reasonable price. Visited while on holiday but would definitely recommend. I believe they are starting a Tuesday Night Curry Evening each week which I am sure would live up to expectations.
