Really nice place. Companies that recommend places to stay, need to update there information. Possibly having a last updated date. The Swan restaurant been closed for 12 years according to the person I got the keys from. Yet a site said dining in.

Location is very good if you are cruising at Southampton. Rooms are clean but basic for 1 night .there is no food served there but there is a garage opposite with a Costa coffee are room had a bathroom not all rooms do so book early if cruising book with bathroom .there is a train track at the back but very quiet there stop about 10 -11 at night start about 5ish . Carpark is small for about 6 car's i would park at the 2 nearest spaces there are at a funny angle but the camera is close. Overall grate place to stay for 1 night if you are cruising at Southampton remember there is a toll for the bridge

The manageress Jackie was extremely helpful and her accommodation was #1+ and probably the best room I've paid such a small amount of money to sleep in for a very long time, and I've taken one of her cards with the information details and will definitely be very happy to use the SWAN INN AGAIN,My appreciation to her and her help with this, Jack Finn from South Shields NE33

Be careful if you leave an honest review that the landlady doesn’t like, you will get refused service and told to drink somewhere else. Very hostile and unwelcoming. Very shocked that someone can be refused service for leaving a review that was honest but fair. On top of this the drinks are over priced which I found on previous visits. The landlady’s reply to this review is a lie and not how she approached the subject at all. Refused service over a review is pretty petty. Bad reviews help you get better and improve and should be taken on board.

Stayed one night over to see a show in Southampton. Room was spotless and so was the shared bathroom and shower room. Beds were comfortable and clean. Shame that they don't do breakfast but had a cracking full English at Annie's cafe just down the Portsmouth road about 4 mins in car or 15 mins walk.
