Lovely, cosy pub. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, only stopped for one drink but plan on returning tomorrow when we have more time. The owner was so friendly, we learnt a bit about the pubs history too! Highly recommend a visit

Arranged to celebrate our grandson's 18th with just few of family & close friends. Vicki (landlady) so helpful, even offering putting up the decorations we had bought. When arrived, we were blown away with just how good it all looked. We we were in the larger area to left of bar which has sofas & armchairs. Which for our particular party, was ideal as the younger all neurodiverse at varying levels. The food was sup erb as always. Service was friendly & very good. Everything was perfect & can't thank Vicki & her team. Gorgeous, old traditional pub, fri, welcoming traditional pub that serves freshly cooked food. Perfect!

Lovely pub only downside was the food, asked for a pie got stew with a lid on, vegetables where more than aldante in fact I couldn't cut the cauliflower it was so hard, roast potatoes hard in the middle, sent the meal back only to be accosted by the "chef" in the middle of a packed pub. Not impressed.

Recently changed hands and the place is much better. The menu is fab if you love pies and Yorkshire puddings, if not then there are a few other choices and some specials too. The pies are delicious. The yorkies are delicious too - all stuffed with yummy, hearty and comfy fillings. Two choices of pies - some from a local farm - some made on-site. We had the ones from the local farm and they were delicious. The interior is a little random and quirky - perhaps they will change this over time.

Haven't visited this pub for years. We decided to come early afternoon because we know it can get busy and then you are unable to park. Beer good, says my husband and I enjoyed the rose wine. Hoping to go back soon.

Fantastic little country pub we found on the way home. Served Sunday roast without booking or electricity!! Power cut down the road didn't stop them! Great food and beer, friendly staff and clientele

I've been wanting to go here for ages, since I read about the Gluten Free menu. What a lovely pub, staff were very friendly and food was amazing. Dogs very welcome and get their own lunch. Wish this pub was a bit nearer home but will definitely be going back to try something else on the menu. Even had Gluten Free beer on draft.

We were excited to find out about this pub, as we have dogs and my daughter eats gluten-free. We got there and took directions for a nice shady dog walk before lunch, as it was a hot day. We stay outside, which is so pretty and very shady. To our surprise the dogs got a free ah day lunch! It was chicken, rice, veg and gravy, which they loved. We enjoyed the food a lot, and the bar drinks, also gluten free. Making gluten free pizza is an art Iβve not mastered but my daughter had a lovely one. A light crisp crust and plenty of toppings. It was beautifully quiet. A large number of pubs cater for young families, which is great, but I dare admit that it was nice to have a lunch out without small children charging about. Highly recommended. We may try the group dog walk with lunch sometime!
