Had all you can eat breakfast. Although the food was nice the sausages could have done with being 'browned off' as they were very pale although cooked. Had to wait for approx 5 mins for fried eggs and as it was fairly busy, this seemed to be a regular theme for many people. The toaster was at top end of the pub, separate to the breakfast bar. Not enough staff on at the time, leaving some people waiting to be seen at the bar. Dog friendly in the bar area and plenty of parking. Some outdoor seating. I would like to think I would have had a better experience if it was as busy.

Attended last night with the car club my husband is a member of. We had a three course festive carvery. There were 54 of us and we all had a brilliant time. Everything ran smoothly, staff were fab and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. Service faultless. Cant wait to come back! Highly recommended!

Visited on Saturday 13th December for our annual Car club christmas meal, there was 54 of us and we all had the 3 course festive menu. The service and food were both excellent, the team did a fantastic job of making sure everyone was happy and that all meals came out the kitchen quickly. A big thanks to both management and staff for making our Christmas meal an enjoyable experience you all did an amazing job! We'll be back in the new year for our breakfast meet

Just nipped in for a shandy ( pit stop) whilst out on a bike ride. Sat outside in the garden. Very nice place. Friendly helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. All the usual facilities you would expect from this sort of place. Excellent location. Sort of ,out in the countryside but not far from town. Right next door to the natural burial centre. Well worth a visit. Cheers.

It was the first time myself, partner and her mum had tried the breakfast at BL. Overall great, well prepared and quality ingredients. However, my partners mum who is a Vegetarian was met with a sharp response after unknowingly put Mushrooms on her plate. 'You have to pay for Mushrooms!' As this was not stated on the approach to the buffet that Mushrooms were not included. Meat dominates the buffet which is fine for me but I feel it could of been handled with a bit more kindness.

Don't bother. Still needs improvements. Food was very poor quality for the price, and tasted of nothing. Also, serving dips in clear, disposable plastic containers really sets the tone of poor quality. First time I've ever left a pub and not eaten all of my food. Service was non existent. Restaurant was extremely noisy, and there was food all over the floor, so the entire place smelt stale. There were children and adults alike running around the restaurant, both with food in hand, and without. A pretty stressful and chaotic dining experience overall. Also, not too welcoming with people hanging around right outside the entrance, seemingly for no reason. Bit weird. The one positive, was that the lady who greeted us and showed us our table was very friendly, however we were simply shown where to sit. We were not made to feel comfortable, welcome, or offered any service whatsoever. Maybe at a quieter time it would've been better, but it felt more like a food court than a cozy english pub. Overall, there are much better pubs around to get a good drink and meal, so don't bother wasting your money here.

It is a great bar/restaurant with great value menu and decent drinks. The new Marston's 61 Deep on tap is 3.8% and a really nice pale ale. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Sunday carvery is really good value and the portions are huge, with an option to pay more for extra meat. Good selection of vegetables. Very tasty and filling are a long walk. Serving staff very welcoming and friendly. Good social distancing measures in place. Have returned multiple times since original review, just as good each time. Excellent food.

Had dinner here the other week and good service and good food with a decent sized car park, a play area to keep the kids happy outside to the back. :) lots of pizzas, burgers and carvery to choose from. They tend to close early so it's not a open very late place.

We visited this place today, 04/02/2022, to try out the carvery. This time, we booked ahead. The service was great with lots of staff around. The carvery itself was very morish. 3x meats , gammon , beef and turkey. I always pay the extra for the large, which gave us an extra Yorkshire pudding. Absolutely lovely place to visit and eat.
