used to be our family fave years ago. not sure what happened but doesnt feel the same... baked tattie with cheese, asked for it no salad for a child. menu price £13. for a spud! slightly insane but had no choice with a hangry miss. I had a bacon and brie croissant. it came burnt, greasy and smothered with salad. was it a diversion tactic to distract me from the burnt top of my croissant?? anyway, it was criminally bad. husband and son enjoyed theirs. chicken filet and some sort of breakfast set. points for friendly service and (on my part) nostalgia.

In absolute terms, you would probably not say this compares equally with some 4star restaurant in the West End of London but equally and fairly are tricky things. This is a beachfront cafe in a high latitude location, you have to factor in certain characteristics & be realistic about comparing your apples with your pears. So there's a few things you (I) might prefer to be different - like more space between tables, more tables with seats for six, more egg with your sausage breakfast, more pottery with your stainless steel teapot... So I'm sorry, you are my favourite Aberdeen cafe (apart from maybe the Art Gallery) & I look forward to visiting again but I can't give you a five overall. Your ice cream cones however, are another matter entirely. Raspberry, Scottish tablet, even vanilla - don't know where to go for better taste or better quality. And your staff are lovely so for them & the icecream cones I'm upgrading to 4stars!!

Nice homestyle cafe. The foods are beautiful plated with rainbow colours. Hey, eat your rainbow right? Ordered chicken in bun, a seemingly simple meal, the patty tastes like zinger patty, which I like. But, it costs £8.50, perhaps a little too harsh on price for such a simple food for bites. It would have been a 5 star if the meals are slightly more affordable.

We had a delightful breakfast. All the food was fresh and delicious. Prices were similar to all the cafes around the beach area. Staff were lovely and helpful. An already great experience.

If you are looking for great food then look no further than this place, located right on Aberdeen beach it makes a great location for a bite to eat whilst enjoying the fresh air or visiting the carnivals. They have a wide variety of everything and anything from burgers, chicken to hot dogs and sausage/bacon rolls, the staff are really friendly and down to earth willing to go the extra mile. They are available to sit in or takeaway and also offer ice cream in case of that summers day! I had the sausage, bacon roll with cheese in it, and the girlfriend had the tuna sandwich with lentil soup. Both tasted fantastic and definitely filled us up, it is a little pricey but still maintains great quality of food and in no time at all. Definitely the best on Aberdeen seafront!
