Chellaston Garage have always been reliable doing my servicing and mots. I canβt praise them enough though for being persistent in finding a fault on my car and fixing it. Great communication about how long it would take and quoting an all inclusive price really helped.

Took car in for a squeaking noise, was quoted Β£750 for new breaks (it had just a month or so prior new breaks) We took it to another garage and were quoted Β£400, they said there was nothing wrong with the breaks and they had missed a massive rusted part that was causing the issue. Would not recommend make it up as they go along.

Had a headlight nightmare for three weeks where not a single headlight assembly replacement I bought would work. The guys here were fantastic, helped me whenever they could and even offered to fit another headlight for free because of the bad luck. Zane was amazing and really helped me out through the whole situation. Great service and would highly recommend!

Totally expected the worse when my car had to go in. Cannot believe how helpful, honest and informative staff were. I was expecting a huge bull but I got an honest appraisal of the issue and clear options. No sneaky charges and actually quite happy!!!! I've been going to this garage for a couple of years now with both cars and as long as the work was simple, like MOTs or services I had no issues. Yea, they quote work plus VAT instead of including it in when they tell you the price but you only get caught out once. However, in June I had my 2 front tyres replaced and since I work from home I didn't drive the car that much. 1.5 week later I went on the motorway and a message came up that the car couldn't read one of the tyre pressure sensors. Since it was Friday evening I had to wait until the next week to go back and they checked and reset the message. I went back on the motorway and the message returned. Left the car but they couldn't fix it. They said they could try and replace the sensor but I would have to pay for it. I disagreed and eventually both of us would have a look at what else it could be such as programming etc because I needed the car for a 10 day trip. I went back after but they didn't have a solution and the mechanic wasn't in to ask so they noted down my details and would get back to me. Several weeks later and I hadn't heard anything back. During a trip abroad to my home country I went to my family's garage and read out the sensors, took the tyre off and the sensor clearly was damaged. Replaced it and the system was fine. The worst bit is that this could have simply been avoided by properly checking after the complaint, and even replacing a Β£20 part. At no point did they try and come up with a commercial solution to try and retain my business. Now this has resulted in me not going there with both of our cars and I obviously can't advise anyone else to go there either. I hate knocking local businesses but if service is poor it's poor. EDIT after garage reply: The reply is simply incorrect. I let you diagnose the car twice. At one of those occassions you claimed that you could read the sensor eventhough afterwards it was clear that there was physical damage to the sensor. Simply removing the tyre to check would have shown that, so that did not happen. On top of that during the first conversation you even claimed you don't really go near the valves, eventhough you charged for 2 new valves. Initially you proposed to swap the sensor but only if I would pay for it and that was the reason I didn't agree. And even when I came back in to show the faulty sensor at no point did you make any effort to retain my business. Instead you blamed the mechanic and said "He wasn't working there anymore"
