   Wickes in Winnersh has to the best building supplies shop in Berkshire. Helpful staff and consistent availability of supplies. It is hard to understand this when Wickes Bracknell is one of the worst and a complete shambles.

   The staff here have no clue about their products. It is very hard to find someone to ask anything. I asked Kris at cashier a basic question about a glue I was buying (I did not have my glasses to read the full details) so asked him if this glue works for such surfaces, he expressed that he had no idea. I asked if anyone to ask here, he said no. I thought it was a joke for a moment. And I repeated my question so you have no idea about your product here you sell, this time very rudely he said NO. To be honest I wanted to return everything. Then just ignored. What a service. It is better to buy staff on Amazon than dealing with such people. Next time.

   Rip-off merchants - they sell items in heat-shrink wrapping, where you have you have cut into the packaging, to get to the item; then they refuse to honour their returns policy, because the item isn't in it's original packaging. Save your money and go to one of their competitors, I've not experienced the same customer service issues elsewhere

   Got items I needed. As comments suggest it's a little dated and I know it hasn't changed for at least 10yrs. There is no self checkout or signs of modernization Car park is ok and shared with pet store Burger van in car park.

   I will definitely never come back. Staff just tries to make everything more difficult! I am doing some building work in my house and had to pop up quickly to buy something that is missing. When I went to pay, the man over the counter was texting on his phone, so I had to wait. When he decided to acknowledge me, he asked for my ID. Whilst I think it is important to do ID check, I am 37 years old and very clearly don't look like 25. He didn't accept a photo of my driving licence on my phone. He has just tried to make my life more difficult for his own amusement with total lack of common sense.

   It is small but convenient place, however if there ever was an award for most unhelpful staff they could easily get it. Every time you ask something the answer is "maybe we sold out"- even if the website shows in stock, "it is somewhere" or "sorry can't help". Today there was single check out opened and long queue as the rest of personnel was too busy wandering around.
