   This store is excellent, open 7 days a week, sells nuts bolts blocksalt paint tools kitchen stuff keys cut, basically almost anything you need, i was looking for bolts, they were cut to size in shop to fit a parcel rack on and old motorbike.

   Rogers is an old fashioned shop in the best possible sense. Surprisingly wide range of DIY tools, paints, varnishes. Unlike larger chains, they're always there to offer advice without judging anyone inability to know exactly what they're looking for. Costs are higher than larger chains but local and saves driving miles to wander lost around aisles. Recommended

   We've been to this store a few times as we are doing some DIY, so its super handy to have it nearby. Its full of interesting bits and pieces and saves the faff of going elsewhere. However, I assume Roger, the owner of the store would fail at winning any Customer Service award. Unless, you look like him (white, 70+ and male). We like the store but prefer to buy from the conglomerates like Amazon or BnQ because of the difference in how they treat customers. The young man and lady who work in the store are great and this is no reflection on them, just the bigot they work for.

   Roger has most things in his shop. If not, he can get it for you! From Viakal to a 10 ft ladder, paint, latches, wood stain, fly swat.... It's a great shop and our first stop for most things DIY.

   Twice I've been to this store, and twice I've been greeted or spoken to by a condescending and grumpy man. While looking to buy a small sink plunger, which a polite young man showed me they have none in stock, a condescending comment comes from (I assume to be Roger) saying that most people don't know how to use a plunger anyway. As I had not left the store I asked him what he meant and he attempted to edjucate me on how its the water that dislodged the blockage and you dont need to make a seal around the plug... well you DO HAVE YO MAKE A SEAL... THAT'S HOW PLUNGERS WORK... you use the trapped water in the pipe (not the filled sink), using the plunger as a seal to agitate and release the blockage. If you don't make a seal, the water will take the path of least resistance and push the resting water out of the sink. You see, it is you who does not know how to use a plunger Roger.
