Really handy little shop, I use the parcel delivery service all the time. Staff are friendly.

I had a terrible experience at this Londis. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and seemed unsure of how to use their own parcel system. When I went to collect my parcel, they actually had it in their hands and even scanned my QR code, but it was clear they didn’t know how to operate the machine properly. Instead of trying to figure it out, they blamed me and insisted the QR code was wrong. I found this very frustrating it didn’t make sense to me that Royal Mail or Evri would send an incorrect code. It felt like the staff member was trying to avoid dealing with the issue, and at one point he even suggested I should call customer service and claim there was no parcel, despite the fact that it was right there. The whole situation made me feel very uneasy and gave the impression that something wasn’t right. After I became understandably agitated, the staff member finally managed to scan the code properly and suddenly the parcel “worked” and he handed it over. The way it was handled felt extremely unprofessional, and I genuinely don’t understand how someone with that attitude and lack of training is working in customer service. I definitely won’t be trusting this location with parcels again.

KNOWINGLY SELLING OUT OF DATE FOOD!!!!! Went here to pick up some bits which included tuna and mayonnaise for my lunch. When I got back to work I squirted the mayonnaise out and it looked strange and runny. Looking at it, it was almost 3 months past the sell by date. I took it back hoping to exchange it for a new in date one thinking it was a mistake - but the cashier told me that he KNEW it was out of date and all of them are out of date. I explained he can’t sell these whilst they are out of date - I’m pregnant and out of date food is really serious. He really didn’t care and even laughed!!!! He said his regular customers all know they sell out of date food. I go in here at least once and week and have done for about 2 years - I would say that’s quite a regular customer and I had no idea. Be warned, especially if you’re susceptible to health problems if faced with food poisoning. Vile people, I will also be reporting them to trading standards as they cannot do this.

Well stocked shop and friendly staff. Very clean and organised. Only thing I found strange was upon first time buying a few top up groceries there I wasn't charged for using my card. 2nd time I had to spend over £3 (only needed a loaf of bread) so needed to buy more. Most people use cards these days and dont carry cash.

What has started as really fresh air in Kennet Island is now becoming more and more decadent in terms if customer service. Apart from the ATM machine which only works whenever they want... On today's day I went there to buy some calpol and some Vic rub for my baby and when arrive at home realised that the Vic rub wasn't the baby one. Went there to return and when the gentleman with a cap said at the till that he can't return that because its medicine I explain the all situation plus the item was not even open. When to my surprise he replied: "next time you need to think about it before you buy". I told the gentleman that since he is on customer service he really shouldn't say something like that to people because it's rude and he replied: "OK I am rude what's now". After his action I just turn my back away because he started shouting. Really a good example of what NEVER SAY OR DO TO ANY CUSTOMER. Sadly Kennet Island is now back to have no good convenience shop for any emergencies.

Don't go here if you need any help outside buying something. At around 3pm today I was taken ill at the shop and unfortunately became disorientated due to a medical condition that suddenly flared up. I asked for a chair but the person in the shop said they did not have one and walked away. He saw that I was having trouble standing but ignored me for a good 10 minutes. I sat on the box that had my parcels that I was dropping off for Hermes pick up for the duration of my medical problem. During this time the shop assistant was more than happy to help the few other customers that came in even to the point of getting things out of a fridge from the top shelf but NOT ONCE did he enquire about my health or if I needed any assistance, an ambulance etc. He just ignored me and kept walking past me; I was sat near the counter. Heartless individual who was more interested in sitting behind the counter than to help another human being in obvious distress. I know, my medical issue was not his concern but I would imagine that 99% of people would ask if anyone in trouble is OK - not this one I am afraid. So if you feel unwell or need any help don't expect it from this shop unless of-course they can help you spend your money!

Good to see a nice convenience store in Kennet Island. Well lit store which has been open since early August 2021. Friendly staff. Free cashpoint available.
