   I went for my work Christmas party and it was amazing, everything from the moment we walked in was brilliant, bubbles and a Tin man juggling and other characters. Staff were friendly great entertainment around the tables and during dinner. Food and service top class. We will be back next year.

   I visited Trunkwell house on Sunday 14th December 2025 for the Lost in Oz Father Christmas afternoon tea with my seven year old daughter. From the moment of arrival until we departed Glinda was absolutely wonderful. She was so engaged with the children, even my shy daughter wanted to give her a hug at the end. She genuinely was amazing throughout the whole three hours, and the variety of entertainment from the bubbles, dancing, circus props, and games was great. The colouring pages were a nice touch on the tables, and great that they fitted the Oz theme. The food was lovely and it had such a traditional afternoon tea feel with the beautifully decorated crockery and teapots. It was very thoughtful to be given extra cakes to take home too. A small criticism was that service was a little slow upon arrival with tea poured but no accompanying milk, and despite several requests it was slow to arrive. Myself and several tables were left waiting whilst others across the room had large milk jugs. However, once this was remedied the staff were more attentive and regularly checked in to refill drinks. We were also asked if we wanted any additional sandwiches which was great as my daughter can be quite fussy and was able to pick a favourite to have more of. Father Christmas was very good, and I was impressed that he greeted my daughter by name and then spoke about her hobbies and her brother. The time to visit with him didn’t feel rushed and it was such a nice touch to have him waving from an upstairs window upon arrival and then again by the front door on departure. Overall I would highly recommend the whole experience. It felt like very good value for money, and somewhere I would definitely recommend to friends for their future Father Christmas visits and to visit again with my family. Thank you to you and all the staff for making it such a great experience.

   We attended Trunkwell for our work Christmas do in the wizard of oz themed space. Oh my goodness what an experience we loved the whole thing, the Decor, food and drinks were amazing. LOVED the dodgems ! One girl in particular- Patsi went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time ! She greeted us so warmly, and checked in through out the whole event - nothing we asked was a problem. She really did stand out during the whole running of the evening. She’s a great asset to your team! Please pass our thanks on! We cannot wait to return !

   I had a lovely time at the Christmas fair 2025. So many stalls to look at. Everything was so well organised from parking to entry, food hall, drinks hall and so much to do for all ages. Santa visit was brilliant. The staff were friendly and always available if I needed to ask anything. I wasn't expecting it to be there for so long but it was such a lovely atmosphere to be in. Enjoyed it last year and looking forward to next year's Christmas fair. Well done to all of the staff for making it such a lovely experience

   Very friendly staff, lovely room in the main house I'm going to keep this short We were advised that our florist would be able to access the venue from 8am, when they got there there was no one to let them in to start decorating, the venues OWN DJ had also arrived for 8am but with no one to let him in he (the venues own DJ) made a decision to lift a farm style gate off the hinge to allow access to the marquee. When a member of staff finally arrived they shouted at our florist. We were guaranteed the bedrooms for the night before included in the price but days before the wedding the asked how we were going to pay, the wedding planner who had agreed it in the price had left so they would not honour it resulting in have go tell our family members that they would need to find accommodation last minute. We were married on the 30th July, be aware that the marquee gets very very hot even with all the doors open, and the 2 air conditioning units do not really have an effect. Near the end of the evening we were asked if we wanted the remaining cake to be stored for us to take with us in the morning, but come the morning it turns out that the just left it on a counter in the marquee kitchen with no covering resulting in over half of our cake being stale and wasted.

   A very beautiful building and setting for weddings or work functions. Large outdoor garden marquee for the evening with bar, dance floor and lights. The inside is nicely kept, clean and fresh décor with friendly members of staff. We liked it so much that we have booked our wedding at this venue and look forward to it for all the above reasons and more.

   Corporate family day. Rented a marque with bouncy castles, fair stalls and bbq for 100 people. Service was great, food was really good. Dietary requirements catered for. Very child friendly.

   Had a business party there. Was absolutely brilliant. All the staff were polite, friendly and professional. The house itself was smaller than expected. This does not take away from the experience though, as there is a huge marquee in the back and plenty of space in the garden area too.
