Tesco is a reliable go-to for most weekly shops. The store is usually clean and well-stocked, with a decent range of fresh produce, own-brand items, and international foods. Prices are competitive, especially with a Clubcard, and the meal deals are handy for lunch on the go. That said, the queues at peak times can be frustrating, and self-checkouts often glitch or need staff intervention. Online delivery is convenient but slots fill up fast, and substitutions aren’t always ideal. Staff are generally friendly, though some seem rushed. Overall, it does the job without much fuss – solid, but nothing exceptional.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how amazing your team at Badger Farm in Winchester are — they truly deserve a special mention. I visit Winchester from time to time as my son moved from here in Yorkshire, back in August, and one of the things I genuinely love when shopping in your store is how inclusive your team is. It’s clear that Sainsbury’s values employing older colleagues and people with additional needs, and I think that’s absolutely fantastic. It creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I’ve met the lovely sisters, Christine and Sandra, on previous visits, and this past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Brian, on the till. Their customer service is second to none. They’re knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely a joy to talk to, and I truly hope they enjoy working with you as much as customers enjoy being served by them. I just couldn’t let it go unnoticed. Thank you for creating such a wonderful team culture.

I shopped there last weekend (13th/14th Sept) spent over £100 and left my clothes dryer on the self service till. A young male member of staff put it through the till for me. I realised and went back for it on Monday 15th and was told by the duty manager that bc it was not left on the left behind and paid for trolley that they would not be replacing it even though I had my receipt in my hand. There are cameras in the store so the onus should not be put on the customer to prove that it was purchased, a member of staff obviously had not put it on the trolley. Why? - I have regularly shopped in that store since I moved to Winchester 3 months ago - I have complained via the website complaint form - let's see if common sense and good quality customer service prevails - I will update

Always clean and pretty easy to navigate, as someone with autism it can be difficult to get around at time as it can be busy and very bright. It would definitely be better if they done some quite times in the week but is manageable with noise cancelling headphones on good days.

Overcharging on Nectar Offers – Ongoing Issue Dear Sainsbury’s Customer Service, I want to bring to your attention an issue I’ve experienced multiple times at your store. It appears that some items marked with a Nectar price on the shelf are being charged at full price at checkout. In the past week alone, this has happened with five different products. While staff seem aware of the issue and quietly refund the difference when asked, this shouldn’t be happening in the first place. It feels misleading and frustrating for customers who may not notice the overcharge. Please look into this and ensure the correct prices are applied at checkout.

Quite a big sainsburys it has everything you need. The meal deals can be quite confusing what is included what isn't as they place them in the same section each other.

I hate that there is only one entrance at the Eastleigh store now, it means having to wheel through the bus station, trying to avoid what can get a very crowded, closed on corridor, and trying to avoid the smokers, vapers, children running around, not easy in a wheelchair, they should reopen the leigh road entrance! The store itself is generally clean, tidy, the aisles are large enough for good wheelchair access, the staff are mostly pleasant and helpful. They frequently don't have what I need, and say only stores like Portswood stock the items, which is frustrating as its quite a way to go. They never have enough checkouts open, always queues at the checkouts. I used to rate this store 5 stars, but the leigh road entrance being closed is a huge problem, especially for the disabled and I assume people with children and buggies.

Shocking...only 3 tills open on a prime Sunday shopping time! Queues for self check to the end of the store, till ques going back along aisles, customer announcements of apologies for staff sickness hen in reality they don't have the staff and those that remain have to bare the brunt general public upset because of lack of goods and long waits to pay for good! Left and went to Tesco where it was even busier but tills were manned, Queuing was brief and the shop was stocked and well run...back to basic sainsburys and treat your staff better by providing better working conditions and then customer satisfaction will increase until then you have lost this customer! Only left two stars for the poor staff that shouldn't have to work under those extremes.

Good selection for vegan foods. Good layout on the shop floor, appears cleanish for U.K. standards. Parking with children is often occupied by people in cars without children. The fresh flower section at the news stand is very basic with a tiny selection of roses or tulips throughout the year.

Lovely big store, well set out inside. Very clean inside and out. Accessible parking, plenty of mother & child spaces, not many disabled parking bays though. Staff seem friendly although had little dealings with them
