   HMG Law was recommended to us by a friend, and we couldn’t be happier with the service. We were first-time buyers and coming from France, so we didn’t really know how the process worked in the UK. The whole team at HMG Law was incredibly kind, clear, and supportive throughout. They explained every step, guided us through the paperwork, and gave very helpful advice during our transaction. We made an offer in June and moved into our new home in September — everything went smoothly thanks to them.    I would not recommend this company. During our first house purchase, Suzette failed to update the Land Registry, blaming COVID when the real issue was her negligence and incompetence. A senior solicitor eventually had to step in to resolve the matter. As a result, our second house purchase was delayed by an entire year, causing us significant and entirely avoidable stress.

   I had a no chain house sale. It was all straight forward and should have been quick. The service was terrible the other parties solicitor struggled to get anything out of them and they just dragged there feet. Constantly lied about what they had done. What could have been done in 3 months according to a different solicitor ended up taking over double that. All the time it was uninhabited and costing me a fortune on mortgage and rent. Expecting a quick completion I moved out in to a rented property with a friend while I could. I would never use them again.

   HMG really lack empathy and customer service, I have been unfortunate enough to lose a member of our family, and the worst thing our family did was employ the services of HMG and Ben Saunders . It feels we are always chasing for updates and still 2 years down the line we are dealing with this firm. Stay clear is my recommendation.

Throughout the process Suzette and the team have been nothing short of excellent - they are thorough, helpful and excellent at their jobs. Buying and selling homes can be quite a stressful process so if I ever have to do this again in the future, I will absolutely return to the HMG team and sincerely recommend them.
