We visited Applemore soft play for the first time with our 2 year old after normally using Ringwood as we fancied a change. We have been to about 8 or 9 different soft plays and have to say Applemore was the dirtiest by a million miles. Crisps and drink all over the floor that kids were running through, Half eaten rolls on tables ( at least 90 mins it was sat their , did not see one member of staff in the soft play area the whole time) cans also left everywhere. But the dust was on another level, big balls of it everywhere. (Dust on this level takes a long time to form and in my opinion it is pure negligence and trying to cost cut.) We binned our socks when we got home as they were covered in dust and hair. You need a cleaner and maybe we will come back but not until it's clean. It's 2025 nearly 2026. (THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH) I am even tempted to contact Southampton environmental services on this negligence

I have decided to write a review on here in the hope I might get a response after having sent an email which received no response. The constant issues with machines in the gym being out of order is very poor. Most recently both stairclimbers have been out of order, one having been for at least a month. The hip abductor was out of order with an expected fix date but the fix date came and went with no sign of repair. The sink in the womenβs downstairs toilet has been out of order for months and there is always a strong unpleasant smell through the corridor. With the latest price rise in the membership, I am struggling to justify the value for money and unfortunately one of the only draws is the convenience of the commute. It is a shame as this centre does have potential but the lack of maintenance massively lets it down.

Used to regularly use the soft play, but itβs honestly really grubby. It just needs a good deep clean and a regular cleaning schedule. We sent an email three weeks ago but have had no response. Please let me know when itβs been cleaned and we will come back.

A good gym, lots of machines and free weights. But what lets it down for me (and probably a lot of others) is it can be full of kids just messing around or just sat on their phones hogging the machines. Go down stairs into the weights room and more often than not there're weights scattered and plates just left on the barbell instead being replaced. Very frustrating as this is quite an expensive centre to visit. Before Freedom Leisure there were large signs on the walls saying 'three strikes and your are out' if not complying with the gym etiquette guidelines. It needs better management to help keep the gym running at a higher standard for the paying customers. Or at least some larger more direct signs to encourage particularly young people to treat the gym with respect.

After the refurbishment, I had hoped the gym and its facilities would improve, but unfortunately, things seem to have gone downhill. I joined two months ago, and the leg extension machine is taped up instead of being properly repaired or replaced. This feels unsafe and disappointing, especially given the high membership fees we pay. The downstairs water fountain has been out of order for months, which is inconvenient, and the sauna has also been out of action again. Overall, the gym has potential, but the ongoing maintenance issues really let it down and makes me reconsider the membership.

way too overpriced, especially that the gym is very very small. Some how the price jumped from Β£2:20 to Β£4.75 not worth the money, and the new reception is unorganised

I really enjoyed the leisure centre until just recently I found it to be going down hill which is a shame Our membership have gone up which fine I understand the cost of living has increased but very disappointing that we no longer have sauna also a lot of the gym machines, in the gym are turned off and not left on the screen has a note which said find a member of staff and there turn it on I was in the gym for 40min and not onceβs did I see a member of staff and last moan swimming pool I understand itβs a swimming pool not a hot tub but my god it very cold I understand in the summer but winter really puts me off going in I donβt mind but we can afford to make a new cafe and play zone but canβt keep swimming pool warm or machine turned on donβt no what Iβm paying for

Bit annoying to pay Β£7.50 for my 2 year old and then be told they can only use a small section of the soft play space. Especially when older children were using the baby sections.
