It's a lovely venue ... and very historic One Word of advice ... in winter it can get very chilly

Nice atmosphere and surroundings, but not very (mobility) accessible during our visit. Steep steps from the main entrance to the seating area. There seemed to be a side door at the right level but was not in use. Steep steps to the toilet area and not the grippiest. I understand that this is an old building and upgrading it will affect its grandeur and history, but if you have mobility issues, contact the venue to see if the access is suitable to your own needs.

My first visit to an amateur dramatic event. A Terry Pratchet story and the actors were great. I was engrossed in every scene and had a great time.

A unique theatre. Small, intimate, you immerse yourself into the plays performed here. The medieval buildings are beautiful, and may they never be spoilt. How often do you get to see a show and step back hundreds of years in history, just by walking through the doors of a theatre?

My first visit the theatre and a very delightful and historic building. I will certainly be back for future events.

Fabulous little venue with massive amounts of character. Such a wonderful place to visit and although the theatre is on the smaller side it really doesn't matter. It adds to the character. The toilets are always clean and parking is relatively close by. There is a tiny car park right outside but more parking a short walk away.

This is a truly delightful and historic building. It is part of what was a large complex of medieval buildings that were all part of Abingdon Abbey, one of the most powerful and impressive abbeys of the pre-reformation period. Unfortunately, the abbey was demolished by Henry VIII and now only an area marked out in stones outlines where the buildings were. The Unicorn Theatre seats about 80 and is utterly charming.

Great independent cinema in a beautiful historic building. Highly recommended.
