I visited on the Sunday 18 th randomly, having read negitave reviews can I honestly say this shop has everything in hospitality.customer service,and a professional manner . Came to look at sofas and had a bloke just follow me and my family around the store then proceeded to use basic sales psychology involving my child which I didnt appreciate. I already have an SCS sofa and informed this gentleman that despite it saying "real leather" I know it isn't hence why we were looking for a fabric one. All in all a negative experience with overbearing sales people. Will not be buying anything based on this.

Worst service ever 10 weeks ago we bought an ex display sofa from ScS which was ment to be a 7 day delivery, first they had last the sofa and sent to the wrong distribution centre. Today we were promised delivery so after waiting in all day all the normal weekends tasks put off. We still don't have a sofa.

Can't fault SCS Derby, all of the staff were so lovely and welcoming. A massive thank you to Ant who provided excellent service to us over the weekend. We went in for a carpet and left with ordering a carpet and 2 chairs. He was so kind and patient with us. We realised we gave the wrong dimensions for the carpet so went back in the next day and he managed to sort our order out quickly and helped us get a good deal. He even helped measure and carry the chairs to our car, Amazing service

Bought a corner suite in 3rd Sept 21 Delivered April 2nd 22 Delivery men where good but wrong gliders/feet where included with the order. I supplied something temporary, but the sections fitted badly together so the men made a report and said someone would be in touch in 24 to 48hrs. It is now 6 days and we are sitting in a queue waiting to speak to someone about this. Here we go again, another big company taking our money and running. We got done by scs some years ago but the salesman told us there had been changes in management and it was easier to get problems dealt with. This is clearly not the case. It is same old same old. We are now at Sept 21st and over a year since we ordered the suite. We have had 5 attempted deliveries of new suites that had same problems and eventually an attempt to fix the problem on site but wrong parts were delivered. We have now decided to have a refund and a payment for damage to our laminate caused by the suite. They insist they need suite back before they will pay us which leaves us with nothing to sit on. They can't even make a gesture on this. The delivery guys put blankets under the suite to stop further damage. Looks awful. All we want is suite gone now and our money back. 5th Oct now and suite just been taken. Got to wait for a contact for our refund. We've bought a suite elsewhere that we get in Feb next year. So thanks to SCS we are sitting on borrowed chairs for 4 month or so. They won't be seeing us again. If I could give them a minus I would. I was told I'd get a call as soon as the suite was collected to arrange refund. No call came so rang and was told shop is disputing how much I get back, they also want to deduct the compensation we got for the floor damage from our refund, therefor basically giving us nothing for the damage. So now we have no suite and are short of £4650. I think it will be going to court if this continues. Funny thing is they don't seem concerned about bad reviews or irate customers in the shop. Total con After a lot of arguments and a promise to go to court if it wasn't sorted out, they have now paid up. You have to be strong with these people when things go wrong and stick to your guns. Or. Don't buy at all. My advice would be steer clear of this outfit.

We are looking for new sofas so we called in at scs kingsway derby , we were very interested in one In particular, no one showd any interest in us all the staff were sat downstairs, and then all of a sudden a elderly couple came in and 3 of the members if staff were soon asking them if they needed any help with anything and following them round, absolutely disgusted, is our cash money not good enough, we came to buy today !!!

A carpet was fitted by SCS and supplied, my mum paid a good price and over £120 to fit. What arrived was a roll end and it is awful.they said it would bounce but it's flat and awful quality..we paid for new grippers at over £50 they used the old ones. The carpet is colored in tram lines..they also broke a tile from the hall and didn't tell my mum. I have complained and I need to wait 5 days for a reply..awful after care..this carpet will need replacing but I am waiting to hear from them. Don't buy carpets from SCS in derby.
