Melanie and Mike did a wonderful job restoring our family kitchen table and chairs which had 'seen life' and would otherwise have ben put out to pasture! They advised on colours and textures and provided an excellent customer service: collected the furniture from us, gave advice once they saw the furniture in it's surroundings, delivered back on time and kept in touch as the project progressed. The end result is a brilliantly restored table and chairs which have a new lease of life and compliment the new kitchen perfectly. Really thrilled with the end result.
Mike and Melanie have done an excellent job in restoring two pieces of furniture for us, a sideboard and a cabinet. They removed the dark French polish and finished them beautifully so we can see much more of the original wood, which lightens the whole room. It was painstaking work, with lots of decorative detail to work around. They are very prompt in communicating, and kept to the schedules we agreed. It is a real pleasure to do business with a small, friendly family firm.
I had a corner cabinet which belonged to my parents which I loved but it was in a dark wood and looked quite dated. Melanie upcycled it in the paint to match my dinning room furniture and it looks fantastic! It really suits my room now and was so glad I could reuse it and not have to sell or scrap it. Melanie also painted 2 chairs I had which were also in dark wood and again look fabulous. She advised me on Colours and also sourced fabric for me for the upholstery of the chairs My furniture was collected and delivered back to me and Melanie was always easy to contact and communicate with answering any queries I had. If you are wondering about what to do with a much loved piece of furniture but would like a change don’t scrap it upcycle it you will be amazed at what Melanie can do! I wouldn’t hesitate to use her and ‘revived and restored ‘ again
I’ve had three separate pieces of furniture done by Revived and Restored and I absolutely love all of them. They were all from my grandad’s house so it’s nice to have pieces that mean a lot given a new lease of life. We commissioned two bathroom vanities and they are just beautiful. Melanie helped me decide on the the pieces of furniture to be upcycled, checked that they would be suitable (though she can also source these for you) and then did a fantastic job of turning a couple of pretty ugly units into beautiful pieces of furniture that add so much character to the house. Would totally recommend.
Mike and Mel have made a beautiful job of some dark wood nest of tables that I have had for 20 years. I didn’t want to sell them but they didn’t fit with the decor of my recently decorated living room. I absolutely love their new look, fresh and modern. Thank you so very much, highly recommend.
Just collected my previously neglected carved camphor chest that has been hidden in the garage as covered in paint drips for at least the last 60 years. Melanie has made a fantastic job of restoring the chest to how it would have looked when originally bought in Hong Kong all those years ago. It is now prominently positioned in the home for all to see. Thank you.
