Very friendly, helpful staff, very considerate with regards to the reason for our stay and was quite amenable to our request for a later check-in and checkout times. Lovely bar for us to meet up with other family members for a sad farewell. The bed was very clean and extremely comfortable. The shower was more than adequate...really good location

I stayed there from 3 August to 6 August 2025. Bedding was on point and the customer service was awesome.Really enjoyed my stay. The bathrooms were clean and the towels as well. Liked the vibe in the bar. Lovely scenery nearby at Cobden Bridge, took walks and loads of pictures there. If only at check-in you could then share the WiFi password. Also remember to advise customers how some of the Nigerian dishes are extra spicy. Overall I enjoyed my stay

Hard to decide on star rating. No private car park, we had to park on street. Outside is untidy. Broken glass. Old bench falling to bits. Entrance thru an old, scruffy green door. Reception is an empty desk with a phone number to call for staff. Charlotte appeared immediately after calling and she was very nice. We were given our key and went to first floor up some stairs where carpet needing cleaning. Room 6, big bed, very comfy, clean crisp sheets. No bedside tables. Dirty windows with very bad sills. Bathroom fine. And then... music from downstairs was so loud. Could hear the base going thud, thud, thud continually until 12.30. Nightmare. But then I slept well. I would never go back, but each to his own.

Staff were super helpful, allowed us to check in later than the advised times due to us travelling so far. Room is what you pay for, was enough for a weekend away. Clean rooms and the bathroom was clean. Shower is really nice View from the room was really pretty, the only issue we had was the bar below played music till about 12:30/1 and after driving for 3/4 hours it wasn’t what we needed!

Room was spacious there was a double and 2 full sized beds and a microwave and fridge in the room. The only thing I would have to say negatively is that there were no cutlery or plates and bowls to use.

Clean and tidy, couldn't believe there was a family sleeping in reception over night, assuming there refugee room was booked out

LOUD. Above a cocktail bar. We didn't know that upon booking. Our two young children had zero sleep, neither did we. We asked for the music to be turned down. It was ignored. Basic rooms no parking.
