No towels in the room, a problem that was quickly and apologetically rectified. Other than that, the room was ok. The location was Southampton, which is not one of the better cities in the UK, but it was close to the people we needed to see.

I arrived at 12:30 and had paid for early check in that says from 12. I was told they had just started my room clean and I had to wait until 13:15 to get in. Money wasted. The room is ok but I found roll up butts in the window, instructions for a coffee machine I don't have and a huge urine stain on the toilet seat. I got asked to take part in an online survey all about the extra pillows and duvet. I don't have any. They must have missed that. The breakfast is hit or miss. The sausages are tiny and the hash browns I had were chewy rather than crispy. Someone else a couple of tables away had ok ones so maybe it was a bad day for the chef, aka defrost and cook. Then tonight happened. A hooker turned up with her 3 year old daughter. She showed nothing but disdain for the daughter and had apparently been stood up by her client. The daughter wreaked havoc through the cafe/bar for a good few hours while the mother paid no attention. We cleared up for her. Sadly the hotel staff seemed to panda to her needs and even treated her like royalty as they placed her in a Taxi. To say she was the talk of the entire bar, wearing her suspenders and showing more crack than a guatamalan, leaving all her receipts in the toilet showing her intentions, would be an understatement. If adults want to relax then why are children allowed in the bar or hookers with children encouraged to visit. I then got told about the lady a few doors down who had bed bugs and the staff tried to explain they can't help it as they get brought in by foreign cruise ship guests. While here, I have met 3 people who have been put here as emergency housing by the council. I think that speaks volumes as to the level of place to expect. Overall, I expected budget but not low quality

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and this was one of the worst for the price. Terrible location far from the city center and next to a very loud intersection, old-fashioned key-entry doors that'll cost you £150 to replace, overworked and underpaid staff, terribly uncomfortable beds and pillows, "breakfast buffet" (which we paid for in advance) is just a box with cornflakes, various tasteless pastries, and a tiny bottle of water. Hardly any restaurants, convenience stores, or coffee shops nearby. Wi-fi costs.

The actual Hotel is as standard as it can get. Nothing good, but not bad. It's around the corner from Lidle and Domino's, so you won't go hungry, and about a 15-minute walk from the town centre. Everything was very standard except the manager/receptionist, Gemma. She was fantastic, we were in a bit of a sticky situation, and she went above and beyond to give us a helping hand. If you get to read this, thank you very much.

A nice, central location. Service and room was great. I stayed on the 6th floor, it look a very long time for hot water to reach the bathroom. My only disappointment was the noise from outside, sirens and loud vehicle noise throughout the night have a disrupted sleep. This is no reflection on the hotel, just unfortunate as the windows started open to aide cooling off the room on a very hot day.

Dated old rooms. Was in a family room on the ground floor. The hall way smelt of damp. In room, the furniture needs updating stains and black mould like grouting on bath handles in bathroom. Bedroom carpet stained and damp to walk on. View out of window was a damp mossy brick wall, so kept curtains shut. Few cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Moved the single beds together, as we did this found a pair of crusty socks underneath. Was clean ish but could have been checked better. Was ok for sleeping but would choose a different hotel next time. Also no restaurant to have breakfast like other locations have so was a bit disappointing as love their breakfasts. Machine for parking was hard work, so much so we had to ask girl behind desk to come and help. Which she did. Staff friendly enough and helpful.

Absolutely disgusted!!!!!! Was put into a room full of damp, condensation and giving us bad chests. Then constantly get checked on by receptionists. Even if your there cleaner comes in. Bed sheets always always stained, and always a mess of a room. Do not stay in lodge road. Asked us to leave because I had a lighter on the desk in there. After I've spent a month with them!!!!! DISGUSTED.

Dated, old style travelodge with actual key locks. Cold rooms, heating not great. Noisy road. Fairly cheap at £47 for the night but would feel ripped off if anymore. Parking reasonable at £5 for 24hrs. Only 1 small, slow, lift, not great when room was on 5th floor.

Also the hotel was very dirty and there was 3 of us staying in a room with no bones to go to and they said “it’s not our problem” after we put a sock on the fire alarm as it went off at 4am and it was very loud. Nails on the floor with smashed glass and all the floors were wet and it was a hazard to everyone. I would not recommend this hotel at all for even 1 night as the staff are very rude and don’t want to listen to anything you have to say. Stayed here for a week and not once has our room been cleaned or anyone even checking up with us having to wake up at 9am to find the housekeeper ourselves in order to get some clean cups and towels even though on the banners it says 11am. I attached some photos on my previous review

Stayed for 2 nights here as a single guy. The price compared to other travelodges in the UK I think is quite high for what you get. Everything is obviously basic, but they have some parking and a nice Lidl bakery nearby and good access to the town The heater didnt really work that well in my room and I had to keep turning it up as it was automatically going down, strange
