Pharmacist was so helpful managed to source my medication for a fraction of the high street chains and took time out to explain everything i needed to know definitely will recommend to all my friends and family superb service
Go here weekly to buy medication for elderly customer and find everyone so friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I recently changed to make this my nominated pharmacy as my son has a regular, monthly acne medication. Picked it up last week with no issues. Pleased with the valuable service provided at Altwood pharmacy and would recommend. They also have a great selection of toiletries and cosmetics. 5 ⭐
What a waste of time, told that the product I was looking for was in stock, just had to pop in next morning to have it administered, took the morning off work, got there at opening time, told that the item was not in stock, advised it would be available after 1000 hrs, nope still not in stock. Cost me a mornings work.
Very bad experience and opinion about this pharmacy. My wife had a private prescription and had to by 1 strip of cetrizen tab and 1 hydrocortisone cream tube. I was surprised to see she was charged £40 for both these items. I checked the prices at other local pharmacies and online, and the difference was shocking. I checked and this will cost only £5 max. They charged us 8 times more!!!! Charging 8 times more than normal is just wrong and feels like they're taking advantage of customers who might not have much idea about this. I tried to return it, all in sealed condition and they would not accept it. When I asked the staff why the prices were so high, their explanations were vague and unconvincing and it seems its their policy to charge whatever they like for private prescriptions. This kind of price gouging is not only unethical but also incredibly frustrating. Anyway I am not going to let this go, I am going to hold them up in the small claims court for this..
Do not care about their patients at all. The lady i spoke with has no customer service skills at all! I asked politely if they could deliver my inhaler as i have to isolate due to covid and have no support or help around me whatsoever. I was told by altwood pharmacy that the driver had gone for the day even though it was 10am. I had to call my doctors for help as i was in dire need of my inhaler. It took for another lovely lady (park pharmacy by claremont) to go out of her way to pick up my inhaler from altwood and drop it to me (even though i live not even 1 minute drive away from altwood they could have dropped it to me easily themselves). Altwood Wasn't helpful whatsoever and didn't seem bothered that i could hardly breath. I was told to just wait until next Monday when the driver is back. I was lucky to have a lovely lady at claremont drop it to me in the end. Absolutely shameful just shows which company's are just in it for the ££££
In my opinion Altwood Pharmacy is the BEST pharmacy in Maidenhead! Ayad and his team provide a friendly and efficient service and always go above and beyond. They really are outstanding, nothing is ever too difficult or too much trouble and they are always ready with help and advice. Thank you Ayad and team.
I have heart problems and needed my medication asap. This pharmacy can be called anything but Pharmacy, our GP sent an email for prescription on 24th of December, the medication should be ready on the same day, but they missed it completely till they had a phone call from the GP after back and forth from our GP and this so called pharmacy, It took 6 days to get my medication and my heart was in pain all them days, Obviously those people don't care about people lives in my humble opinion.
This is undoubtedly the best pharmacy i have ever had the pleasure of using. I moved area 2 years ago, and this became my local pharmacy closest to my doctors surgery. They are speedy, efficient and always extremely helpful.
I will say one thing. Their cleanliness is incontestable. I am so lucky to be living close to this pharmacy. Has just about everything you need and more! Prescriptions are always ready for me and they have even started bringing over my prescriptions the moment they see me enter without me having to say a word! I especially recommend checking their monthly offers shelf which is updated regularly. Never fails to impress me with outstanding bargains on all essentials from your favourite brands. Simply amazing
