   We stayed one night after attending a wedding at a nearby location. The room we had was huge with a lovely view. Peter was a wonderful host and allowed us to drop our bags early so we didn't have to leave the wedding party. We booked continental breakfast and the choice and quality was fantastic and far too much. We couldn't eat it all. The property is a lovely old farm house and very quirky.. Some minor things to be aware of that might be an issue for some people are the stairs are winding and quite steep and it is next to a working farm with associated noise and animals. To us these added to the charm though.

   This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.

   Peter and his farmhouse are wonderful. Plenty of parking, rooms were lovely....neighbours were gorgeous if a bit noisy whilst being milked!!! If you want a little gem of a place to stay in Derby, look no more..... you will love Mackworth Farmhouse

   Good value - Great location just on the edge of the city, but lovely views across Derbyshire. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food and drink is of a very good standard, and lots of selection. The Sunday roasts are fantastic and delicious. Highly recommended for local and visitors to enjoy the Derbyshire delights.

   Stayed recently while attending a wedding nearby. Service was outstanding from the moment we arrived; the hosts simply couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing and served to the room which was great! My wife also had her hair styled in the salon and would definitely recommend. If you’re staying the area, don’t go to a big hotel, support small businesses like this who provide all the personal touches that will make you want to return.

   What a super charming and friendly place. Made to feel very welcome from booking through to good-byes. Very comfortable spacious top floor flat with bedroom, lounge, small kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast served to the flat was excellent and good value. Would we come back? Definitely!

   The property was well presented and had a lovely character. Room was lovely and cosy. Everything was provided for you. Breakfast was amazing and brought up to your room. Lastly, the owner was the most lovely person. I got a little lost trying to find the hotel and he came out in to the road to flag me down - thank you again.

   I mean this as a genuine compliment, my stay was like stepping back in time. In terms of the hospitality, the warmth and the welcome of the house. I feel we don't get much of it anymore as everyone scoots off to the big chain hotels for simplicity and convenience. It's not often you get a chance to interact with the proprietor in such a nice and relaxing way. I very much welcome it. The breakfast was delightful, perfect size and perfectly cooked. I took advantage of the nice weather and ate outside in the garden which was fantastic. Other option would've been in the room which I'm sure would have been great as well.
