   For the price and everything included with the room this place is definitely worth it! There are things that could’ve been better (like we didn’t like the bathroom being carpeted, the room had very old sink/toilet/shower with stains, a private party was going on till past midnight on saturday right below our room that felt like it was shaking up whole room) but the amenities like the swimming pool, gym, sauna make up for it and make it worth the price. The place is being renovated so I understand some of the low points but for what we paid it was worth it. The location was good too!

   If I could give a 0star review I would. We booked two rooms after a stay at alton towers. The rooms and hotel are absolutely disgusting. The rooms stank of cigarettes, they looked like wet dogs had been rolling around the room after shaking dirty puddle water off them. The receptionist was rude as anything on her phone while we checked in. We didn't stay and they wouldn't refund us. Waste of money and time. Booked through booking and they are just as useless

   For a budget hotel, it's perfect! It has a pool, it has a gym, it even has a squash court!! The attached bar is a traditional "Woolpack" style with 3 pool tables and friendly staff. Yes, it is a little run down and could do with a carpet upgrade, but that's what slippers are for! Please do not go here as I don't want it fully booked when I go back!!!

   On Friday 21st October Moorville hosted my husbands funeral service and wake. The management and staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble they did not hesitate to agree to every request I made. I could not have chosen a better venue. Moorville had everything to make the event perfect.    Fabulous...from Suzanne who helped us through all the stress and setting all the tables up, the waitresses who were wonderfully polite and helpful, so quick in getting everyone's meals out,the bar staff were friendly and efficient all night. Can't fault the food, absolutely fantastic, you could tell straight away the beef was fresh and not this prepacked stuff you get at other places, the vegetables were fresh and delicious and the gravy absolutely made the meal. The buffet in the evening was also top notch, so delicious and generous. The DJ was brilliant played everything we asked for, he mixed the music up perfectly. I would recommend Moorville Hall to anyone who wants to hold an event like a wedding or a christening. Absolutely fabulous.
