“Nice rooms and great staff, couldn't be more helpful. After moving the mother-in-law into her new flat, she couldn't stay that night. So we checked her into a this Premier Inn. The 2 ladies on reception, Rosie and Hannah couldn't have been more helpful! They were great with my mother-in-law and set her mind at ease. What great customer service.”
“Fabulous rooms. Modern and clean. Food was good. Was on group booking, and was a little restricted to what we were told, but main course was tasty. Drinks as expected, but Lottie made some great suggestions and banging cocktails. Nice to see her have enthusiasm and hospitality skills to adapt to different customer needs. Well done”
“Ok so this place surpassed my expectations. I got married here 30 years ago and my city has suffered since. The hotel has changed hands a few times since and I wasn’t expecting much but it really was great. It’s a big hotel. The rooms are huge. It’s been very well redecorated throughout. 2 small complaints 1. Lift is a bit tatty. 2. Ground floor lobby is like the land that ti forgot. Otherwise it’s a yes from me”
“Another town another premier inn , this time the room ( prem + ) was massive well furnished comfortable and super clean , Leanne greeted to me and was a great example of how staff are the hotel and greeted me with a warm smile and explained everything i needed to know even went and got me some Hot Chocolate which you don’t actually get in the rooms ! Again loaned me an Apple Watch charger as I’d forgotten mine as I need it as I have an app to check blood sugar ! Perfect hotel and if Leanne is anything to go by the staff will all be wonderful too”
“This was a great Holiday Inn to stay in to break up a journey from the north to tge south. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff on reception and the food area were extremely helpful. I was struggling to open a packet of cereal, a member of staff noticed, went to the kitchen to get scissors and swiftly returned to open the packet for me. I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn, it is very good value.”
“Lovely staff and a nice welcome. Rooms really clean and tidy. Older style but so much more space than the new one we stayed in last night. Excellent”
“Pleasant overnight stay on way to Alton Towers from Scotland. Will use this stop-over again. Despite rating of 2*, the travel lodge was staffed with helpful, polite, friendly, courteous staff who were on hand for all our questions, including local weather reports! Met all the needs for an overnight stay. Entrance, hallway, reception and room were all clean and tidy.”
“Incredible service. I broke down and managed to get my car into the car park at this hotel. Dylan was working the night shift on reception and was so helpful. He was very helpful in getting me any help needed and when I eventually needed to book a room he got this sorted for me very quickly and even accommodated really well for my dog. Then when checking out in the morning, the lady on reception was also incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating, especially for my dog once again. I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so kind and helpful when I was in a tight spot. The best experience I could have from the loveliest staff.”
“Stayed here last weekend in a family room. 2 adults 2 children. Had booked another hotel up the road that turned out to be a nightmare. Arrived at the hotel, plenty of room to park, yes it is on street but lots of space. Door was closed when we arrived didn't find this a problem, lady who was working reception answered really quickly and welcomed us in. Check in was smooth and easy. The receptionist was amazing, made us feel at home. (Wish I knew her name but she has red hair) hotel felt really secure, door closed most of the time to stop just anyone walking in off the street. The stair way upto room was very clean, there is a patch of damage to the decor on the way up but really not a problem and probably to be expected in a building of such age. Landing corridor to room all really beautiful with some lots of character, (chandelier, balcony) room was really nice, so clean so big for a family of 4. No issue in room with any facilities or cleanliness. Staff happy to help and really couldn't be nicer. Location is brilliant too, nice restaurant across the road, local shops near by and water park and money forest just a few mins away. Overall had a really nice time staying here and would definitely stay again. Thank you”
“Loved this place. Our first time there for just one night to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be going back as we both felt so relaxed there. Beautiful settings and garden, great for heading out on a walk. Decor and ambience just lovely. Food was excellent (and not 'messed with' as my husband would say!). Our room, which was upgraded so very kindly and much appreciated, was brilliant. Wonderful views from large double aspect windows. Thank you.”
“We booked a spa day for four of us in November and loved every second. The facilities were immaculate, spacious and varied. There was so much to do and most importantly, the spa wasn't packed ridiculously full so you could actually enjoy it. The drinks, food and service were all great and the treatment was fantastic. Genuinely couldn't fault the team working and the spa itself, it was beautiful and the team were constantly walking round tidying blankets etc. and as you couldn't reserve the large beds, there was always availability too. I think the one slight issue (and this is being really picky) was that there was nowhere for the towels to dry so they ended up soaking wet by the end of the day but it's the smallest issue and didn't affect our enjoyment of the day at all. We're already looking at a date to come back.”
“What a wonderful stay we had at The Tawny. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special, where we could relax in nature. The meet and greet was great with Darren taking us to the Glade shepherd hut.A charming guy and extremely friendly. The service throughout was attentive but unpretentious We were particularly impressed with front of house during our 2 evening meals in the Plumbicorn restaurant. A very special location with very special service.Thankyou. Lynda and Martin Moulds”
“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”
“Very nice canal side pub with proper prices not a rip off”

“we stayed in the triple bed room for two adults and child, clean room and bright with bathroom, all self service, code at the front of the accommodation and a code at your room door. Slept well in the massive comfortable bed.”
“We went for a sunday dinner today and I have never had a better sunday lunch in my life. There was 3 of us and we shared a sunday lunch board. Great portions, fantastic selection of veg on the board with succulent ham and the best pigs in blankets i’ve ever seen. Words cannot describe how good this meal was, if i could vote it 11/10 i would. Big shoutout to the chef Ryan who did a fantastic job.”
“We took our baby girl for her first birthday and stayed two nights in an In the Night Garden room. It was the best time of her little life and there for me, too! The hotel is perfect for little ones, so baby friendly with so much thought gone in to the design. Including travel cot, baby bath, bottle warmer and nappy bin in the room. The lobby itself was interactive and magical and my little girl was blown away to bump into her two faves - Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle doing a meet and greet in the hotel. Parking was easy, plenty of it and right in front of the hotel which is great when you’ve got a car full of baby supplies. Breakfast is very good and they do veggie sausages on request. Evening food was lovely one night but not so good the second. Tiny tots menu was very good. Drinks and food were expensive, but that wasn’t really a surprise as this is the case with most resorts like this. I’ve been singing the hotels praises to any parent who will listen and we will definitely come back when our daughter is older and the Bluey ride is open. Only negatives (or just something to mention) is that the signage in the area (Alton towers area) generally is pretty poor and sometimes misleading/confusing, but it’s easy to find a member of staff to ask for directions when needed. Special shout out to Sam on reception who answered all my questions before we arrived and was super helpful. Thanks for calming my first time mum nerves!”
“I’ve been wanting to stay at the Enchanted Village Treehouses at Alton Towers since they’ve opened, and as it was a friends birthday, 8 of us pooled together to stay in one during Oktoberfest during September 2023. I’m not going to soften the blow – this is one of, if not the most expensive accommodations on-site at Alton Towers, but was the price-tag worth it? I think it was! First off, once booked, we received all the normal confirmations as you would expect. What was nice however is we received a phone call a few days before we checked in from a very friendly woman, who explained everything we would want to know about our stay. It was a very nice personalised touch, and got us excited for the trip. Upon arrival, you get 2 reserved parking spaces at the Alton Towers Hotel which we took advantage of. As check in was at 2pm, we headed into Alton Towers in the morning and then headed back to check in. There is a specific Enchanted Village Treehouses check in area in the Alton Towers hotel, where you’re met by a member of the team who give you all the details you’ll need, keys and tell you how to get to your lodge. Once the paperwork was done, we headed to the lodge. The Enchanted Village area is car free, so we grabbed our bags and headed to the lodge. The host who checked us in stopped by to show us how everything worked, and again, this very personal touch was greatly appreciated and did elevate the experience somewhat. Upon entry, the Treehouse was impressive, with massive high ceilings and big windows overlooking the forest. There were lots of little details throughout the lodge such as little ‘fairy doors’, books for children, mugs with hot chocolate and biscuits, as well as an XBOX with games. As it was our friend’s birthday, they organised a really lovely treats hamper, including sweets, popcorn, some Wickerman goodies and a bottle of Prosecco – it was a really lovely surprise and one he hugely appreciated. The highlight however was the hot tub on the terrace overlooking the forest – it was fabulous and, in my opinion, made the price tag of the Treehouse worthwhile. There was something quite special being sat in your lovely warm hot tub sipping some bubbles overlooking the forest. The bedrooms were fairly small, but as we were staying just the one night, we didn’t spend a huge amount of time in them. As part of the package, we also got 4 Fastrack passes per person for The Smiler, Spinball Whizzer, Runaway Minetrain and Wicker Man. These do change throughout the year so the rides may be different, but this was a great bonus as it was a busy Saturday on the park. As part of the package we got breakfast in the Crooked Spoon. I’ve left a separate review of my experience at The Crooked Spoon as this was very disappointing, and did leave a sour note on the end of stay – but I feel that the Treehouse itself shouldn’t be penalised for the poor experience there. Overall, as a treat for a special occasion, the Enchanted Village Treehouses are worth it. The service, perks and location really do make a difference – and the wonderful hot tub is the cherry on the cake.”
“First time staying this week, very easy to check in, all details sent in a text. Good sized room, en suite, comfy bed, small kitchen inc hob and microwave, kettle, and basic cutlery/crockery”
“Amazing stay in the most beautiful little place. We loved having a little home from home out in the countryside. Would highly recommend!”
“Another Santa Sleepover and every year it doesn't disappoint! Our son is autistic and has additional complex needs, all of the staff are so understanding and helpful. Highly recommend The Secret Garden restaurant, the food was fantastic and you never had to wait long for the buffet to be refilled. Lovely staff, comfy beds, and great entertainment.”
“For a budget hotel, it's perfect! It has a pool, it has a gym, it even has a squash court!! The attached bar is a traditional "Woolpack" style with 3 pool tables and friendly staff. Yes, it is a little run down and could do with a carpet upgrade, but that's what slippers are for! Please do not go here as I don't want it fully booked when I go back!!!”
“Beautiful hotel, lovely and clean. Me my partner and our children stayed and it was so cozy. The staff are always polite and help with whatever you need. There are multiple shops within 5 minute walks from here and there are also multiple parks within 10-15 minute walks away.”
“Just a quick thank you to Steve and Donna who own Dove Farms Barns , we had a short term holiday rental for a few weeks and the accommodation & help was second to none. This setting is fabulous and the attention to detail in the property is outstanding ,many thanks for making the experience enjoyable.”
“Booked The Old Barn as we are going to visit Alton Towers as quite a large group. The house is stunning, tonnes of character. Real traditional farm house & on the inside the décor has been finished really tastefully. Lots of modern features and cosy furnishings. There is a log burner in the lounge. Bath/Power Showers. Best of all you cannot beat the location for the theme park!! When I say you can't get any closer, you literally can't get any closer. The property is opposite the Main entrance. Five Star Accomodation.”
“Fantastic place...spacious and private. Excellent for a few days chilling out. Especially with the great hot tub....”
“Very comfortable. Large room, comfortable beds and good bathroom. The decor is rather outdated, but that's no problem. Excellent location opposite Stoke Station. Nice hotel bar too.”
“Decent place. The owner Claire is a wonderful person. She is very polite and nice. You will enjoy your stay at this apartment”
