Nether Burrows Farm was the perfect accommodation for our wedding weekend - we stayed there with the groomsmen and the bridesmaids and some of the groom's family from Friday till Monday and everyone loved it! It's super cosy, a huge space, with a massive living room and kitchen and a gamesroom with table tennis in each building, the rooms and beds are comfortable and it is well equipped with everything one could need. It's self-catered but not far from Derby, easy to reach with a car and we always managed to get food delivered there with Uber Eats. Our wedding venue Grangefields barn was only 10 min drive away! It was a super romantic place to stay, easy to get into with the keys in lockboxes and has an incredibly cosy and rustic vibe, we honestly loved it there and would recommend!

We have had a wonderful stay at Sunshine Cottage. It was perfect for our family get together, plenty of room in the cottage, with a great outside space for the children to explore. Victoria was really helpful with any questions that I had. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent stay in Willow Barn which provides practical, spacious and well equipped accommodation. The beds are very comfortable and the showers hot. We were a party of 13 with 2 grandparents, 5 parents and 6 grandchildren aged from 6 to 13. The children enjoyed the games room, the sports field and we all made good use of the hot tub. Nether Burrows Farm is well situated for visiting the many sights and attractions that Derbyshire has to offer. We visited the Museum of Childhood, Carsington Water, Cromford Mills, Dovedale, Matlock Farm Park and Chatsworth. The boys had a day climbing and weasling in the Peak District. We are seriously thinking of returning next year if we can all synchronise our holidays.

Had the best stay while visiting Alton Towers. The house was perfect in every way. All of the bedrooms were great, clean and roomy. The lounge was a fantastic size for our group and plenty of room for little ones to play. The kitchen table was huge so plenty of space for us all. Everything you needed was there. Would definitely stay again

We had a great week staying at Willow Barn. A peaceful location at the end of a long single track road. Plenty to do in the area . The house suited our group of 14, with ages from 16 months to over 70 ! The large kitchen table was ample for everyone to eat together ,and the living area, with lovely comfortable sofas, were wonderful to sit on at the end of the day. The beds were comfortable and whilst perhaps the showers were not the most up to date, they were adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with a full range of great saucepans . As we cooked everyday, this was a real bonus. We hired the hot tub for the whole week and it was a real treat to soak in the hot water with a glass of wine chatting and gazing out over the view. Perhaps a line of plants in pots to provide a small degree of privacy between Willow Barn and the next barn would have been appreciated. One huge bonus was the 'Kids cave' from where the children were allowed to chose toys to play with for the whole week. Definitely a real treat for them. We loved the outdoor field, shame we could not get down to the lake, but plenty of other places to explore. We had a wonderful week of family fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas stay at Willow barn, some lovely touches including very thoughtful craft gifts for the children. The cottage was cosy but roomy at the same time, the living area was perfect for a big family gathering. Would just suggest a bigger fridge might be useful. We didn’t make the most of the outdoor space due to the weather but the setting is a perfect location for long walks. The games room was a nice bonus for the kids.

Fabulous venue, perfect choice for our group of 14 (hen party) and good value. The location is very close to Derby city centre with great train links from the North and the South – ideal when you have friends scattered all over the place! We stayed in Willow Barn which was perfect for our stay – plenty of space, well furnished, great courtyard with countryside view - could not ask for more. The hot tub was a hit as well as the onsite football pitch and luckily we had great weather for both. Didn’t have time to use the BBQ but would love to next time. Read the reviews about the road before visiting but had no issue – fine to drive down just go slow. Big thanks to Vicki the bookings manager for helping organise the weekend and making this a stress free experience! Looking forward to visiting again for future events.

Not as we expected. On arrival water was coming through the ceiling in one of the living rooms. After reporting to owner workman came out and left us with an unusable toilet as he disabled it. This therefore made the room unfit for its purpose. We had several other issues which we didn't report due to the above experience of their fixing things. On returning we did however report and have had an appalling response. Told they would have sorted if we reported so we're not willing to offer compensation. The problems we experienced were a faulty fridge, our food went off, a broken dishwasher unfit for purpose and disabled bathroom not fit for use not even handrails provided. Our other fault was a window which couldn't be secured which in pointing out they said they knew about and it was booked in to be sorted after we left. There were multiple properties on site so we felt very uncomfortable not being able to secure ours. In all their responses have been not only unacceptable but contradictory. An offer of 15% discount on a second booking is an insult as we were on a hen weekend and don't plan to return as we hope the marriage will last.

Sunshine Cottage was such a beautiful place! The garden was amazing, and the house was big enough to comfortably host 10 people. The track to reach the property was a little difficult but didn't take away from how much we loved our stay. Communication in the lead up was really great too. Thank you!

Fantastic place! We were a large group of family & friends who booked multiple cottages together in the Farm, we found the cottages were of good size. Both Willow Barn and Meadow view had living areas which could accommodate our entire group for games & movies. The games rooms in these two properties which included a table tennis and small pool table were a great way to pass time. The Farm is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering relaxing walks, and also includes a large play area. We regularly book large cottages for weekends away, and found this to be great and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this property for large groups.
