Place has been a shambles since covid. One of the most uncaring facilities in Aberdeen. If it's after 3pm don't call unless it's an emergency. The reception staff ask you all these questions yet when you finally speak to the Dr half the time they have no clue why your calling but you've just rattled off why. Prescriptions for my partner haven't been correct once this year and if you try and complain or raise your voice about how pathetic the practice has become you get formal warnings. Asked for a meeting with the practice manager and was told no (we have proof - we use our business phones as they can record calls too) the incompetence at this practice is disgusting, it used to be a fab facility but it's seriously went downhill and I think it should be looked in to. We even have proof now that the reception staff mute the phones after a Dr came out while in the waiting room and told them to stop muting the phones as he had now tried to call 3 times and they have been told about this. (proof also) This is a personal review but I can see me getting kicked out the practice now for putting an honest review about how utterly useless this practice is. Tuesday 16th December update: The phone message has changed from if it is not a medical emergency don't call after 3pm, calls requesting callbacks are only between 8am-3pm or sooner if capacity is reached. After 3pm, if full you can call back the next day. You must be able to go to the Dr that day. Don't try and call on your lunch break for another day as it states, if you can't make it that day then call another day when you can make it.

My fiancee called this morning the practice, after waiting half an hours in the queue, he got through to the receptionist who asked him to describe his symptoms. He said he has a cough and bits are coming out when he's coughing, his nose is blocked and running, has head ache, and she has told him to go to the pharmacy and hung up. How is this acceptable ???? Are taxes paid so that when you are sick and call the GP they hung up on you and send you to the pharmacy to pay for your medication because they could not care les? I want this complaint to be addressed ASAP! I am 7 months pregnant and whatever cold/flue or virus he has can affect me and the baby. Even if I wasn't, how is this behaviour acceptable ???? You can clearly hear his voice in not ok and he is poorly. The lack of care is unbelievable!

On all occasions I contacted this GP with various issues of mine, they saw me on the same day and helped me greatly. The staff are really polite and the doctors and nurses I spoke to really helped me out. I do think these other reviews complaining about how they were treated by stuff are unbelievable and if that were the case, I assume those complaining probably treated the staff poorly.

I have been at the practice for 5 years and I only have good things to say, everybody is very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately I needed two visits this week, but was met with the absolutely fantastic Faye who deserves a special mention. She handled my call back efficiently, within 15 mins of phoning. She was so helpful and reassuring in both appointment and over the phone, explaining every step of the way. She is a true credit to the nhs :)

Had an appointment booked for the removal of a small cyst (in 2 weeks) thats pressing on a nerve in my back for two months only to be told it was cancelled because id unfortunately moved homes within that time. Now I’m still in pain and have no practice or appointment booked. Absolutely ridiculous that this could not be honoured.

I would give less stars if this was at all possible! I just called Links Medical for a sick line that I never received. On the 16th, I received an email that my renewed sick line was ready and would be emailed to me. I did not receive said email with the attachment. I contacted Links through the URL provided on the email to let them know I hadn't received it. No reply. I do the same again, I get a reply saying it was in fact emailed to me. Nothing else. I wait 25 minutes in the phone waiting line to speak to someone, I explain the situation and the receptionist says it was already emailed out and if I checked spam. I told her I haven't received it though and I checked everywhere, she insisted it has been mailed out without offering any help to get the sick note. At this point I repeat again that I require the sick note, she interrupts me and says "but it's already been emailed to you". I got pretty annoyed because she interrupted me instead of listening. I spoke loud and clearly and said my employer was going to terminate my contract if they don't get the sick note, as I'm required to supply one as per my contract for any prolonged absences. She told me to stop shouting at her, even though I wasn't shouting, muttered she'd get it emailed to me and just hung up! Please sack this receptionist, I believe it was Lynne who is always unpleasant and borderline racist. If it isn't, I do apologise, I often pick names up wrong, but she is one of the older ones there. The younger ones are amazing, friendly, and so helpful as well as apologetic when something goes wrong on the practice's end. I am deaf in both ears and if people interrupt me I will clearly and loudly enunciate words. I will record these calls going forward. Action needs to be taken against the receptionists! ***Edit: my husband called the practice on my behalf. He got the same bitter receptionist, he asked the same questions as myself to which she replied "legally speaking I can't talk to you about this". My husband kindly corrected her, saying that legally speaking, as my husband he is well within his rights to ask if they could send me the sick note and this snide remark came after she told him it's already been sent. How does this change the fact that I didn't receive it? Unbelievable. I will report this case higher up, as she needs to go! Other reviews are saying the same. Please act.

I would like to share my very positive experience today with Links Medical Practice. I called in order to have a telephone consultation with a GP. The receptionist who answered my call was very polite, friendly and helpful. She dealt with my call in a professional and efficient manner and was sympathetic to my issue. I had a call back within only a few minutes by a very polite, helpful and sympathetic GP, who very professionally and efficiently discussed my symptoms, and indicated a potential diagnosis. Not only that, but sent a prescription to my nearest pharmacy to be collected later today. I am very appreciative of such great service in a professional, respectful and friendly manner. Indeed, any time I have had cause to seek medical attention, I have always been dealt with professionally and with courtesy and in a friendly and reassuring manner by all staff at this practice that I have come into contact with.
