Most of these bad reviews stem from Karens or Craigs, the usual. Moved into a new home a couple months ago and I’ve been in and out of Dunelm in Slough, Greenford and high wycombe. None compare to slough store, everyone I’ve been assisted by, younger or older, has gone the extra mile, been so pleasant and polite, if they dont have the stock they offer options of helping me order or they’ll show me when they next have the item I want in store. Cant fault the place apart from it being a bit messy sometimes.

Wasn't overly impressed with my first visit..looked a bit of a mess tbh and quite expensive on some items! Then to ask for a big carrier bag for cushions and was told only had strong bags at £5 each!! And never been to any shop where they ask for your email address to get your receipt..found that very odd.

Few weeks ago I visited the Denlum store in Slough (Bath Road) and had a wonderful shopping experience. I bought a living room rug, some flowers and vase, and cutlery. The quality of the products is excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful.
The rug I chose was quite heavy, and when I just gestured for help, a staff member (boy) immediately stopped what he was doing and assisted me—this made the process so easy. Later, while looking for serving platters and trays, another staff member provided me with full assistance. At the counters, I was served by a lady named Khadija, who was very kind and professional.
I was genuinely impressed by the staff’s attitude and helpfulness. It made my shopping experience very pleasant. Highly recommend this store.

We bought some net curtains at this store. It was great to see staff serving the old fashion way. One to one service with a personal touch. We picked out the curtains we wanted and Asma the staff member cut the net curtains and suggested other items we needed. The curtains were not from a packet. There is so much for sale at Dunelm. I love it!

Terrible Experience at Dunelm Slough – Avoid at All Costs!
I had the absolute worst experience at Dunelm Slough. The store is completely disorganized and chaotic, and the staff seem to have zero interest in helping customers. Here’s what happened:
1. Unbelievably Long Wait: I waited 45 minutes just to get an answer to a simple question. During this time, I was ignored by several employees who were either chatting among themselves or “too busy” to assist.
2. Unhelpful Staff: When I finally managed to speak to someone, I was told by one staff member that her shift was over and she couldn’t help me. Another employee shrugged and said the only person who could answer my question was busy working in the tile section. Why is the store so understaffed and disorganized?
3. Faulty Products: I ordered curtains that were supposed to be custom-made, only to receive something completely different from what I ordered. They didn’t match the measurements, design, or color. When I brought this up, no one cared. There was no apology or attempt to fix the issue.
4. Filthy Store: The store itself is a mess. Items are scattered everywhere, aisles are cramped, and it’s just filthy. It does not feel like a professional retail environment.
5. Nonexistent Phone Support: I tried calling the store several times before visiting, but the phone lines don’t work. It’s impossible to get in touch with anyone.
This is absolutely unacceptable. I want my money back, and I am ready to escalate this to the core management team of Dunelm if I have to. How can a company operate like this and expect customers to come back?
Avoid this store at all costs. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere!

Large store, bedding section is beautiful and very clean. The rest of the store looks like it has been ransacked! Staff are helpful and friendly, very easy to do click and collect at this store. Free parking outside too.

I’m using my partners account. Yesterday I went to Slough Dunelm to return my parcel as my dinner set bowls were broken in transit. I approached Jim and asked if he had any more in store. He went off the look and came back to me to say they hadn’t. I then asked if I could take the bowls of the shelf to replace the ones in my parcel. He asked the manager and they agreed. Jim then opened up the dinner set and allowed me to look at the individual items to make sure I was happy. Some plates had a few marks so he went and changed them with new plates. Overall my customer service experience was exceptional! Thank you again Jim for your time and patience.

Really unhelpful member of staff. When my click and collect order wasn’t complete (luckily I checked it) I got told to go and look myself for another one. In an already very messy store. Won’t be going back to this Dunelm the Farnborough one is a lot nicer with more willing members of staff

Good store with prices on the higher side but poor customer service. The staff is generally young, untrained and devoid of customer service norms and manners. Please train your young staff who are a source of annoyance, otherwise they will deter the customers away. Train them and teach them some manners.

I love Dunelm products. Great quality, unique interesting designs and prices are good for what you are getting. Customer services was fine too when I returned a few days later to return one unsuitable item.
