Claire is always so helpful and polite. She is a very friendly individual who always has a smile on her face and it's a pleasure to see her when I pop in. Thanks again to Claire in Woodley Boots. Her hard work is appreciated she’s always ready to help and she is a credit to the team !

Has anyone else experienced a complete lack of privacy at the Woodley Boots pharmacy counter? I was there today, and I was genuinely shocked. The reception is where most of the discussion with the pharmacist and is just an open desk right next to the main queue. There is private room but the most of the the discussion takes place at the counter. Today the person ahead of me was discussing a very sensitive medical condition and their new medication in clear, audible detail. Everyone in the queue, including me, could hear everything. They looked incredibly uncomfortable, and rightly so. Then it was my turn, and I found myself having to quietly mention a private health matter, knowing full well the people behind me were listening. It's an awful feeling that discourages open and honest conversation with the pharmacist. Pharmacists provide vital, confidential healthcare advice. These conversations should be held in a private, discreet environment, not publicised to a busy shop floor. It feels like a basic and essential standard of care is being missed. @BootsUK, please invest in private consultation rooms for your pharmacies. Patient dignity and confidentiality should be a priority. I the the entire layout of the pharmacy needs redoing. At the moment it is not a pharmacy but a boots shop used as a pharmacy!

My experience was exquisite, the lady who served me, Claire I think it was, was outstanding. She was such a warm and welcoming presence instantly putting me at ease. Yet she still manages to be calm collected, professional and diligent. She is a shining example. My experience was great, efficient and quick. Well done

I asked my son to pick up his little brother's prescription. The lady that served him wasn't that friendly at all. My son saw her pack the medication but did not call him to say its ready. People came and went after being in at Boots for about 5minutes but they made him sit for more than 30 minutes without help. The lady who served went out and left him there. My son stood and asked another pharmacist about it. The pharmacist went to the basket checked and said it was ready time ago and he gave it to my son. My son ws really disappointed in the service

I recently had an exceptional experience at the Boots pharmacy in Woodley, thanks to Ahmad. From the moment I arrived, his service stood out for its combination of efficiency, professionalism, and a genuinely friendly, approachable demeanor. Ahmad handled my request with remarkable speed and attention to detail, ensuring that every question I had was answered thoroughly and with care. His thoughtful approach made this visit significantly more positive than any I’ve had before. It’s rare to encounter such high-quality, attentive service, and Ahmad truly made me feel valued as a customer. I left feeling completely reassured and well taken care of, and I will undoubtedly return for all my future needs. I highly recommend this pharmacy for its outstanding customer service and reliability – Ahmad’s dedication makes it a standout choice!

Very shocked at there lack of help and knowledge of the pharmacy staff it’s very concerning. I am disabled with brain damage, I went into the store yesterday morning to buy a lethal flow test for covid, I asked the lady on the till if the tests I picked up were for putting down your throat or nose as I cannot use the ones for your throat. She said she did not know and went off to ask the pharmacy staff, she came back 5 minutes later and she said they think so but there not quite sure. It seems very worrying that these pharmacy staff are in control of people medication what’s happened to staff training.

Unfortunately this pharmacy is overwhelmed and completely incapable of meeting people’s expectations. Expect very long queues and very poor service. Feel extraordinarily fortunate if your prescription is fulfilled. Woodley is a town in its own right and this is one of only two pharmacies in the area, what a good opportunity for someone to open an alternative chemist. (Empty shops available!)

The pharmacy at the Boots Woodley store remains a complete shambles. Queuing times are ridiculous, repeat prescriptions are unreliable and communication is nonexistent. It hasn't improved over the last few years despite all the complaints and poor reviews. If you can get your medication elsewhere then I recommend that you do.

This pharmacy is always chaos, they can’t keep up with the demand. Today I tried once more and got let down again, queued 20 minutes, been told to come back after 40 minutes, to then having to queue again, being told that they only have part of the medication in stock so I could either risk to have an interrupted cycle of antibiotics, or go look somewhere else.. which is what I did. It’s a bit of a joke especially when you’re out on your own not feeling well and have other stuff to do. Can’t just dedicate a whole day to sort some prescription out.

Two hours pressing redial trying to get through to the pharmacy. This is not the fault of the staff but Boots Management need to do something about the staffing and organisation of this pharmacy. They need two more dispensing stations to keep up with the demands of the ever-growing community, particularly since Lloyds closed in the precinct and Boots inherited their customers. The staff are generally great - hardworking and rushing around trying to fulfil the prescriptions for a large community, but they are woefully understaffed and overworked. They encounter many understandably frustrated customers who regularly have no choice but to stand for periods in excess of 30 minutes, just to be told they need to wait for 45 minutes, and come back to queue again to pick up a prescription. When prescriptions are submitted directly from a surgery to Boots Woodley, they rarely get downloaded and prepared, but only get processed when the patient comes in to collect, which obviously requires more waiting time. β€’ Two more dispensing stations urgently required. β€’ Someone needed to cover the phones during shop opening hours. β€’ Another to cover the online prescription system, downloading and passing to pharmacists to prepare. This will help to free up more time for the pharmacists to process prescriptions and to improve the reordering/restocking of medications which are often depleted. β€’ More seats to accommodate those patients who are unable to stand in a queue. Most of the people queuing are feeling really poorly. β€’ Someone to oversee the queue to ensure that anyone unable to stand is offered a seat, and these seats should not be occupied by anyone able to stand. β€’ Please try to reorganise staff rest breaks so that the busiest periods (12-2 and 4-6) are fully staffed to help reduce queuing time, stress levels and frustration for both staff and customers.
