   We have been visiting this shop for many years. We used yo come here before they changed hands and was happy they kept the old staff on as they are fab. Good stock at great prices, staff go above and beyond. Hope to come here for many more years to come

   Absolutely ruined my puppy on her first cut. Couldn't take her back for them to rectify how she looked as no one with experience was available. I was almost in tears at the site of how she looked. Did not do the trim I asked for and she has been left with uneven coat and bald patches. Demanded a full refund. Will never use them again!!!

   Took my long haired cat for a first time de matting and dry shampoo, was a little anxious as my boy can be a bit of a grump, hence why I ain't attempted myself, however he appeared to have enjoyed his pamper, the staff were absolutely lovely, and so professional and the cat now looks respectable again and smells lovely, would absolutely recommend.

   Very helpful staff, I used it today to take my dog to use the self service bath, after using this service in the past at Chaddesden store I was a little disappointed with the lack of items which used to be supplied and now gone. I.e. dog spray, little biscuits for the dogs and tools to clean you dog with brushes etc oh and the price has increased so paying more for less.

   I took my 18 week old German Shepherd puppy to Pets & Friends Alvaston yesterday for his first groom. As I don't drive the journey on the bus was quite stressful, my puppy is quite nervous/anxious and suffers with separation anxiety which causes him to bark so the bus journey was quite stressful (not helped by someone leaving an apple core on the bus that he was trying to get to). I can't praise the staff highly enough not only did they calm my puppy down they calmed me down. The kindness, patience & understanding showed by Leila & the team (I feel bad that I didn't get names of the others as they were all brilliant) and the advice they gave has meant the world to me at a difficult time. I will definitely be back and have already recommended them to friends & family who have dogs. Thanks to everyone who was there.

   A lovely, friendly pet store. The staff are very helpful, polite and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. The store has around 6/7 parking spaces plus ample parking spaces on the road. The store is clean, accessible and very well laid out with lots of unique items and tons of choice for the shopper who is looking for something different for their companion. There is a groomers inside the shop and the staff in the groomers are very experienced and knowledgeable. Overall this pet store offers a different experience than the generic pet store that we are all accustomed to.

   After phoning store to check they would be happy working with a large nervous dog, Megan and a colleague were excellent with my boy. He has never had his nails clipped before and they did a brilliant job at relaxing him and me! Can’t recommend them enough!
