Don't go if your white and open a bag with some shopping in. As man on till will pull your bag and demand to look inside. This happened as a partly sighted person was going to put more shopping in the same bag. Wouldn't happened if he was Black

The DIY section has dramatically reduced, don't have want i wanted 1 times, had to go elsewhere. Seems to have more clothes and women's products than anything else

I recently witnessed a distressing incident at the Poundland store, which left me deeply disappointed with the level of customer service provided. On the evening of April 5th, 2024, at 06:25 PM, I observed a lady struggling to pay her bill using her phone at the checkout counter. Despite her efforts, the service attendant, Naida, handled the situation poorly.Naida's demeanor towards the customer was unacceptable. Instead of offering assistance or understanding, she displayed impatience and hostility towards the struggling customer. Even when the customer apologized, Naida's response was dismissive, refusing to acknowledge the apology and failing to provide the necessary support. It was disheartening to see a customer being treated with such disdain, especially in a store known for its affordability and quality like Poundland. While the store itself offers a wide range of products at reasonable prices, the experience was marred by the inadequate staffing and the lack of empathy from the service personnel.I sincerely hope that Poundland management takes note of this incident and implements measures to improve customer service standards at this location. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and provided with the assistance they need, regardless of the circumstances.

Wonderful place to go in, stock most items and the little extra things that you forget to purchase. Would recommend to everyone.

Was expecting more of a selection considering the size of the place. OK to grab everyday essentials though.

What have you done? Firstly the average prices in this store are now £2.50+, the store is bigger but over half is now taken up by cheap looking clothing and awful looking food, everything else in terms of variety have now reduced massively. I used to love looking around Poundland at all the weird and wonderful products and would always end up buying things. My recent visit I purchased nothing, because the variety you once had is now gone, don't like the new layout at all. You've removed the automated tills which was handy as you penny pinch on staffing levels. I miss the old staff but yeah I won't be coming back. So glad Home Bargains have opened up, a much better shopping experience there including prices which are far cheaper for the same product plus the staff are lovely. This Poundland store is now ruined.

I usually find a refurbished cd from Music Magpie to add to my collection. It is random and you need to look through a lot of CDs. I buy a lot of garden compost as it is a 20 litre size that I can carry in the double buggy. Also good for miscellaneous household, garden items.
