Awful experience with Unicorn Vets. The vet firstly couldn't find any record of my dog (even though we took him there 3months before), then she found it but didn’t think to check the things she noted last time (ie his weight) - until I prompted her to weigh him. Was in there for about 8mins with very little advice other than some shoulder shrugs and paid £74 for the privilege. Will not be going back unfortunately.

Without doubt the best vets in the area, by a long way. We have been coming here since 2020 when my cat needed an operation - with Claire’s excellent care she is now still in perfect health - another vet practice told me to have her put down! Moira and Kim on reception are both lovely, very kind and friendly both on coming in and leaving, and very helpful on the phone. Claire is by far the best vet we have ever visited, excellent thorough advice and explains things really clearly but also so warm and friendly. Always have fantastic service here and wouldn’t go anywhere else

My fit, 18 month old dog had an operation and sadly came away with a bloody nose and partially collapse trachea. It is believed it occurred as a result of mishandling of the breathing tube just prior to the operation. £4k on after specialist exploratory work, we’ve been told the damage is done and there is nothing we can do. My dog still hasn’t recovered and two years on struggles breathing in specially in hot weather. No apology from the practice and encouraged us to leave when we suggested we would. Leaving was the best thing we did.

Appalling attitude and service! They seem to think they are the only business effected by the pandemic. I was with Ashurst practice and on the Pet Health Plan, I have received no monthly worm and flea treatments for my dog which are included in this plan and contacted them a week ago to order these. A week on the reception was still just as unhelpful yet expects me to still pay the direct debit until they can work out what they owe me! I wasn't even told they were closing Ashurst and found out purely by chance as I over heard a conversation there whilst my dog was having her vaccines, they were closing the following day! No communication to customers, nobody calls you back, I have been with them several years as well, very disappointing service! Would recommend them at all.

Really excellent vetinary practice at Ashurst. Friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Would have given 5 stars but it can be difficult to park, and it's very close to a main road which can make you nervous when bringing pets into surgery.

The new email system for routine appointments is very efficient and we were seen the same day. I called on arrival and waited outside, lovely Clare called me back to take some information then came out to collect my dog. My dog is 16 and gets anxious, so although I understand why, I was apprehensive about leaving her, but she came out very calm, accompanied by Clare who explained her treatment plan and brought out medication. For payment I contacted them the following day. They have clearly worked hard to find a system that ensures everyone is safe. Very friendly and efficient service, and I felt they really cared for my lovely old lady. I would recommend without hesitation.

Bought my dog in unregistered and unannounced under an emergency with a piece of bone stuck in her mouth. They quickly sedated her and sorted it out. The price was really reasonable considering it was an emergency and they had to put all other patients on hold. The vet and all reception staff was so caring and helpful in a Horrible situation they couldn’t have been better and I would hesitate to return or recommend.
