My dog has a nervous disposition and I’ve had no end of issues with other kennels - the stress causing sickness and dietary changes. Having used Ambergate several times now, he has never failed to come back happy and healthy. The staff clearly are passionate about looking after the animals and giving them high quality care rather than just boarding. 10/10 would absolutely recommend - the dog even gets excited now when we arrive!

We opt to let ours have their foods, but you can always take your own too.

We was looking for a nice kennel for our two dogs Ambergate was our first choice and they have been happy to meet both dogs. First meeting went very well we explained it’s the first time the dogs are away from home and one of the dog have anxiety (lead problems)what was not a problem she said we don’t need to be worried they are in good hands, she showed us the kennel and which the dogs will get amazing, after all the chat and explaining we get a list what they need… no problem we went to the vet have done both jabs after we’ve done an appointment for a tester day all went well only it was very hot we decided to do another tester day what was today I dropped both dogs at 9:00am off and picket up around 2:45pm. I went in to pick both up I’m shocked what I’ve been told first it’s “season time” they had a bit of problems to get one of my dogs back in because he was running and smelling around, because it’s the first time the dogs are away from home both are stressig what is normal in my eye. I’ve been told my dogs are fussy with food never had any issues.The end was they can’t take the dogs for the time we booked our holiday (as confirmed and discussed with the jung lady before)now we spent money for the vet and need to cancel our holiday because they can’t cope with our dogs. But she offered us to take the dogs for a weekend ?????? Really
What do they accept from a dog who have been never away from home?come to see a new place? Different smells? I really don’t know if this is a reason after I’ve been told all is ok now they don’t want to take the dogs

Amber Gate found my lost cat and kept him in the cattery untill I was able to go and collect him!! When collecting him the cattery was clean and very spacious for there animals would highly recommend!!
